Just picked a 2009 with 35k miles ex police bike. The bike seems to want to lean to the right when going straight. Any insight would be appreciated

I had this issue too. I was pointed to getting the front wheel sorted out. What you do is loosen the clutch side pinch bolts and then bounce the front wheel as fully as you can a few times. Once done tighen back the pinch bolts to the right torque. What this does is release any twisting moment in the forks and gets the wheel to true-up. Made a massive difference to mine. I had just changed my front tyre so this was part of my install anyway. Runs straight now. This is a common issue and lots of techs don’t know about this when they install a new tyre.

There’s a write-up on this forum but I don’t know where.

I remember reading that it's better to use a curb or chock than the front brake when doing this.

This is pretty much standard procedure for all bikes - with minor modifications.

While those instructions are in the assembly/set-up instructions, that is not what will true up your front end the correct/complete way. ;)
If you think that corrected it alot, you would be amazed at what it would feel like when done correctly.
