I want seal the bleeder thread with tape and would like to use a small bolt to cap the hole while working on the bleeder. Anyone know the thread spec?.

Thanks,

Len

Sorry I don't know the thread pitch but why not get an extra bleeder screw to put in temporarily while you are working on the yours.

Thanks. I won a gift certificate at a BMW/Triumph dealer so I thought I would pick up a bolt or bleeder their.

I've taped the bleeders of a couple bikes...... Just remove them one at a time, tape, replace. If a drop comes out of the caliper that's all.

Question to all,

Are you doing this to keep a vacuum bleeder from sucking air around the threads? Otherwise, the seepage during bleeding (conventional or with Master Cylinder pressurizer) should be minimal and not really make a mess.

If the latter, what's the purpose? Just need to be enlightened.
