Armored Kevlar Soft-Shell Motorcycle Jacket w/ CE-Level 2 Armor
"Your NEW Favorite Riding Jacket!" DuPont™ Kevlar Lined, Armored Motorcycle Jacket. 5 Pockets, Wind+Rain Resistant, Snap Neck Closure, Zip-Up.
I just got one of these as I was using a Kevlar lined hoodie with cheaper armor (Slatin Motogear) from a few years back- it was ‘good enough’ but air would come through the zipper and the hood would get in the way when I wanted to put on my airbag vest (so I would feel a bit cool despite the jacket). The hood was not removable and I wanted a jacket without one…I removed the armor and now that can be a winter jacket for when I’m off the bike.
Anyway, I bought this at $289- 15% off with a coupon, so I paid $246 shipped. I normally wear an XL size but when I ordered it online, the sales person called me and I gave my measurements over the phone- she recommended a 2XL and she was correct as with the armor it fits ‘snug’ (as it’s supposed to in order to keep the armor closer to you in event of an ‘issue’. I used it last week for 3 nice long rides (low temp ~ 45 degrees, no heated vest or gloves), and the longest ride was 250 miles. I normally don’t write product reviews, but I have to say I’m very happy with it- comfortable, no air leakage (and I was wearing a T shirt as my only torso cover) and isn’t restrictive at all. Was even comfortable at temps as high as ~ 65-70 degrees, so it’s supposed to be a 3 season jacket.
I don’t have any affiliation with the company but have 2 of their armored shirts for the summer as well as a pair of armored mesh shorts to wear under jeans and have been happy with them as well.
