Ceramic Exhaust Coating

Yes, many here have done that. I believe there are mixed results but most feel it does help.

If nothing else, it'll prevent rust. But they do keep the pipes cooler. I've seen guy's bikes with ceramic coated pipes that you could literally grab the header a few minutes after they've been riding for a couple hours.

$150 is a great price. How's the quality of their work? Ifn' ya getitdun', post pics of the work and give us your feedback.

I'm going to take the headers off this weekend and take them in on Monday. I'll let you know how they turn out. ;)

Ok, here are the results. I think they look great. The price ended up being $175.00 but I still think that's a good deal. ;)

I'm considering getting my exhaust coated but I haven't seen any chatter in a while. Those of you that pulled the trigger in order to reduce heat, was it worth it? Would you do it again?

One thing to watch when you ceramic coat your headers - the flat seal surfaces at the cylinder head will need to be reworked to a flat surface. I had to do quite a bit of stoning with the Jethot coating to get the flanges back to where they needed to be. That was 6 years ago and they are looking and performing great. I highly recommend the coatings if you're planning to keep your bike for a lot of years.
