Bike For Sale Close to new 2017 ST1300PA for sale(not mine)

I thought I saw posts about Non-kitted STPs available to civilians in the last model years where it wasn't possible before.

My opinion is it is a civilian purchase. I think that is the only way you can get the Honda Care extended warranty.

Here is mine on the showroom floor the day I picked it up. Got it for the advertised price of $7,995 in Conroe, Tx:IMG_20201107_094732.jpg

With the way the "rack" is set up with those front bolts and the end ones missing, that would be a good question!

If I had "playing" money, I'd be tempted! ;)
Those longer bolts are what came stock and are required for the radio shroud cover. I had to buy the correct bolts when I removed mine, but I did ride around with the longer ones for a bit.

Your battery had either died and was replaced, or they forgot to reset the clock, which flips to 0130 when the battery goes flat
:rofl1:
Nice bike.

Agreed.
That's a STeal. I see yours lacked the rear seat on the showroom floor. That means the one in the OP has been probably been swapped out. I've seen here that new subframes have been installed for that purpose. I didn't know they could be cut to add the pillion portion. As you removed the shroud I assume you replaced it with a pillion platform?

Exactly! And that is what I was referring to. The fact that those bolts are still there and he doesn't have the "proper bolts" for a non ST1300P! ;)

Yes, I bought a used sub-frame off of eBay and swapped it out. The difference is the police model has a bracket to bolt the driver seat in, as well as brackets for the radio cover bolts. The civilian model has "loops" that the back of the rear seat slide into and then has the latch for seat removal.

It isn't too hard to swap out, you do need the latch, cable, release lever and a few misc. nuts and a spring (if I recall correctly).

There were a rash of these sold around the time I bought mine, some just cut the police brackets off. I couldn't do that, I have all the original parts saved if I ever want to switch it back.

Besides the subframe, latch, cable, etc, I have seen a few of the ST1300P shop modifications included, removing the part of the rack where the latch goes.
