Looking for a basic com that will pair with a phone and provide intercom for 2 up. Tons of them. But I want to use earbuds instead of in-helmet speakers. So I'm looking for units that either have separate 3.5mm plugs for mic/speaker (preferable) or at least a unit that uses a 3.5mm plug for the mic/speaker combo that I can add a splitter to. Looking at the cheaper models on Amazon, it looks likt they all use a non-3.5mm plug for the combo cable and I don't see a splitter option.

I'm sure others have gone down this path.

Thanks!

sena 20/30 series, not sure about the 50s

I use ear buds but if I unplug them, the speakers will activate so I have both options.

The Cardo's use a 3.5mm jack for the speakers and work nicely with earbuds. Or there's always the option of just cutting the speaker cables on a cheaper unit and soldering in a socket.

I use S-plugs and a Cardo Packtalk Bold. the Cardo output is a 3.5 jack. To relive strain and make it easier to connect the S-plugs, I installed and taped in a 1 ft. 3.5 mm extension cord.

I have the Cardo PackTalk Bold... I used it w/ earbuds for a while before I put the speakers in. Worked flawlessly.
