Many long distance riders are very familar with Basecamp and comfortable in using it to plan multi-day rides where each day involves routes with multiple waypoints.
Others, possibly a majority, "h8te" Basecamp and struggle with any use.
I fall into the first group. After planning a ride that I want to share with other riders, some are quite comfortable when I e-mail them the GDB file of the ride exported from Basecamp. Others see a GDB file similar to someone doing a GBH on them.
My solution to this is to create a Google Map from Basecamp that I can easily share and most people are very comfortable with using.
The attached document describes the process I follow to create a detailed Google Map from Basecamp. The Google Map shows exactly the same detail for the route for each day's ride including the waypoints.
I'll take my planned October ride out to Arizona and then on to the Sierras of California. I created 10 ride as you can see in Basecamp.

I will then created this Google Map by exporting the data from Basecamp and importing it into Google Maps

This is the actual Google Map: 2024-10 - Coronado Trail & California - Google My Maps
I hope you find this process useful in planning your riding.
