Any idea of the difficulty to change the odometer cluster on an 06 ST 1300. Can't read the temp or anything else at this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brad

Might be easiest to just send the cluster away to blueguages for an upgrade unless you already have a donor cluster on hand.

As for removal it's not real difficult. Involves removing windscreen and some tupperware.

Just wanted to make sure that I didn't have to take the whole bike apart. Already purchased a new one at cost ,from a dealer friend. It was still expensive.
thanks

I'm unsure if the odomoeter readings will carry over though. You may want to make note of it in case you run afoul of inspections down the road.

@Chiefpep has an AWESOME YouTube video showing how to change the LEDs with some soldering. Here's a link to the part of the video where her removes the speedo from the bike:

They don't. The odometer memory resides in the odometer, not the ECM.
Thanks. I just turned 110k and don't have any intentions of selling..
If you do want to have the new odometer read the same mileage as the old one, BlueGauges performs that service- BlueGauges Mileage Correction.

Your dealer friend might also know where you can have this done locally. Car dealers send dash clusters to authorized service centres who have legal authority to alter odometer readings as needed to effect repairs/replacements. Motorcycle dealers might have similar.

Could also pull the dash apart and just replace the screen. More fiddly though, with associated chance of borkage

That's what's covered "ish" here, up to about 1:13, then reverse the steps to swap in the replacement LCD. He's also changing the polarization filters, which you don't need to do:

You don't even have to pull the needles off the cluster!

PS: Great Mario tunes! :bannana:

Well, maybe the polarizer is bleached out like in the video, and is the real reason your display is blank?! IDK if you could test that theory with a pair of polarized sunglasses, and rotate them to see if you can suddenly see the display?
