Dimensions of fork stantion

Hello folks.
I have a Pan registered 2001 with abs. I need a stanchion but from an aftermarket supplier. I need to know the length and diameter of the stanchion fitted to my bike.

Any info?

You should get a length and diameter dimension shortly.
 
I'm not clear what you are referring to when you say 'stanchion'. My guess would be the upper fork tube that slides inside the lower tube. If you are going to check dimensions before you buy it are you aware that the tube is not the same diameter where it mates with the triple clamps? Mine have a reduced diameter just below the top clamp, not sure about the bottom. This is different than my V Strom which uses a straight tube with no enlarged area for the clamps.
 
Hello again. I am sorry I missed out the vital element...it is an ST1100...if that makes a difference.
