Exhaust sound clips

ga06rider

I read an old exhaust thread where someone asked for sound clips but nobody seemed to have any. Has anyone got any to share? I'd like to hear to Staintune and Two Brothers before I throw hundreds of dollars at either. Anybody got any ideas as to why the slip ons for this bike seem to be way more expensive than for other bikes? Also, I'm putting the K&N filter in mine as well. Anybody put theirs on a dyno after the K&N and pipe change?

 Don't forget the 61 psi pressure regulator from Turbo Tom

Haven't done the Dyno yet but maybe next week when the new Powers are installed!

Heck I wanted to get to the track this summer but I put on 9  instead of losing 20 plus !

The sound clips don't do them justice IMHO. I have the Staintunes and apart from a nice exhaust note they ar about 12 lbs less weight.:03biker:

here is a picture of mine with the big bore restictors, i cut them off smooth with the end, sounds great from start to finish. smooth as butter.

I recently put my like-new stock exhaust back on the ST. After 10K I've grown sick of 2Brthrs. The bike sounds good with them above 5000 RPM, but I've had enough of the constant blurbering at slower speeds. I'm glad I did not sell the stock mufflers as the stealer suggested.

Awesome, without. Yeah four into one straight pipes with no restictors. I do love that sewing machine quietness tho. :mcrider:
Dorky but true, especially on those long peaceful trips.

That's where the Staintunes really shine. You don't hear a difference on those long trips. Off the line and when you really give it some throttle is when you can hear them.

Thanks for the input.
Thanks ccryder for the sound clip site. It wouldn't play for some reason so I emailed the guy who posted it to see if I'm doing something wrong.
Just sold my Interceptor today and the Staintunes on it sounded great riding off so I have to think they'd sound better on the bigger ST engine. Just want to make sure before I open the wallet.

Okay. Heard the sound clip. Just ordered a set of Staintunes from Spoiled Biker.com for $799 including shipping. Got a K&N filter from them already and they did well getting it to me quickly. They said it would be 2-4 weeks before they got another shipment of Staintunes. Can't wait.

I get all excited about these threads that qoute prices and then get disappointed to learn that the post from ga06rider was posted a year ago. I can't find Staintunes anywhere for under $900:eek: , so I bought the Two Brothers instead. lol

I 'm looking for a set too and I gotta call Tom to see if I can exchange my new 59 psi reg. for the correct one. I wasn't going to change the pipes at first but the bike is too quiet. My friend has a Yoshimura can on his new R6 and it sounds sweet.
