Anyone got any tips on how to bring faded black trim on the suitcases and glove boxes back to life? I read cherry shoe polish works!

Rust-Olem Wipe New Recolor
This has the reputation as being about the best and will last the longest but apparently is a little more complicated to use. You will have to read the instructions to see about that as I have no idea about this stuff.

Rust-Oleum Wipe New
Much easier to use. Apparently it will give just about as good a result as the above will. The biggest difference is that it might not last as long before it needs to be treated again. Having said that, I know of someone who used this on his motorcycle and three years later it still looks good and still does not need to be reapplied.
From what I have read this product is probably the best compromise between price, ease of application and a good result.

Mothers Back-to-Black®Trim and Plastic Restorer
Also has a good reputation.

TURTLE WAX TRIM RESTORER
Also reputed to work well.

I have never used any of these products myself. I am just passing on what I have been told by motorcyclists who like to keep their bikes looking like new.

Not sure which among these products is available in the UK.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I would just paint them with any paint that works on plastic. Make sure to clean them good to remove any oily treatments so the paint will stick good.

I use the Mothers product mentioned above. It's certainly not permanent but will make it look good for awhile especially if you stay out of the rain.

Used black car vinyl-top polishing compound or black shoes polishing would work.

Back to Black is a good AC/DC album but a disappointing plastic restorer. I tried black dab-on kiwi shoe polish once and I look really good - for awhile.

I have tried both Back to Black and Mother's on auto trim with very disappointing results - i.e. NO results. Both were a waste of money. But, the ST's plastic might be different.
