Anyone have this jacket?

Just curious about anyone's experience with this. My current new jacket choices are this and the FG Denali.

Right now the Denali is on top of the list but the price of the Fieldsheer and it's options which are similar to the Denali make me want to consider it was well...

Any opinions? Uh Oh.. :doh1:

I have the Hydro Tour. I used it as my primary jacket up until I purchased my Aerostich RC. I can't comment on the wet weather riding. However, I can on the dry stuff. I was/am very pleased with the jacket. You get decent circulation through the vents in the arms and the armor fits in place very well for me (all CE approved including back protector to boot.) I have used it in 100+ to mid 30's and had no complaints about it.

The adjustablity in the arms is nice with the snaps for different layers and the liner works well for cooler temps. Storage is no problem with plenty of pockets to choose from.

Of course temerature comfort is all relevant. I ride with under armor and wet towels in warm weather and heavy layers in cooler weather.

Seems to be a well made piece also. All the zippers, fasteners and velcro have held up well.

Bang for the buck I'd give it a 8.5/10

Edit: Fogot to add, there is a nice pice of reflective material on the back flap over the vent on the back, which goes all the way across the back. Been told it's quite visible. It's not as large as the RC, but it is substantially more than a little piece of piping.

Thanks!.. I found them for 143 at motoxoutlet... pretty good prices there.

It appears to be discontinued. Doesn't list it on the FieldSheer website anymore. Might be able to sway the price down a bit if ya ask. Never hurts.

Yeah, it's the 2006 model.. .I seem to have a skill when it comes to buying jackets that I end up loving then finding out they are no longer made. ha!.. I should buy two..

I have the Hydro Tour in red. Bought it in late '05 and wear it every day. It isn't vented as well as some 3/4 length jackets, but on the ST I can leave the top 8 inches of the zipper unzipped and it doesn't flap around. It is pretty water resistent (got to check that out a couple weeks ago!) and has held up well to this point. Has enough storage for my tastes, several adjustments for various sizes of arms, waist, etc. I've worn Fieldsheer jackets and pants for the past eight years and have not had any problems worthy of changing my decision.

Liked the looks and protection of this jacket and found it at ridenow.com for $124.99 and possible free shipping. Anyone else had any dealings with them.

Isn't that the truth! Last year/or year before, someone on the site posted up a sale being offered by a company in NY....selling Belstaff jackets/pants. It seems that this shop/warehouse bought up a ton of the remaining Belstaff clothing and were selling it at a huge discount. I contacted them and sure enough....all jackets $99 and they had several styles offered up. Pants as well. I bought two...and should have bought more at that price!!!! Oh well.

Got my Hyrdo Tour about 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. It keeps me very warm (down to 30 deg). The jacket is lighter than my Alter Ego 1.0 and has many more adjustments. The only negative I have to say is with the neck. The neck closure is velcro and when not being used has no place to fasten it out of the way. The other side will scratch your neck when the strap is not in use. I am investigating ways around this but other than that I would give the jacket a 9.5/10 for quality, fit and value. If anyone needs a 3/4 jacket I think you should give this one a serious look. The replacement, the Aqua Tour does not have CE armor in the back.
