ze GF even put her long down coat in storage and switched to her 'transitional jacket'... 😏
Night & morning temps around freezing would still make use of the ST quite a "brrrr..." experience... 🥶
But I'm optimistic for the oncoming 2~3 weeks... 😎

Last night ze GF punched me for exclaiming "... who ARE you?! ..." after she came home from the hairdresser... 😁

Me? Frequently trimming the remains of a once great society of hair with my Panasonic... buzz-cut rules... :mow1:

For Saturday we've scheduled another shed session on her NT700...
Among other items shift- and rear brake-lever need some straightening... time to give that new hydraulic shop-press a test... ⚙️
Methinks she'll also intents to install the SENA into her new Schuberth C3 pro... 😎

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Thoughts on the scale of the cosmos are a good way to recalibrate the importance of daily events, and of one's place.

It's 30°F and clear in Rockville; yesterday's threat of showers materialized, technically, but resulted in only 0.00 to 0.04 inches total so does it really count? Sunny and 54, the call for today, DEFINITELY count.

On my way to the uke session yesterday I stopped at the goof course where I play most often, to ask about employment opportunities. The manager recognizes me as a regular and was very affable. She referred me to the online application system (which handles all such applications for all nine courses operated by the County) so I'll do that momentarily. My motivation is mostly to transform expenses into income, however modest. It'll be beer money, mostly, since the pay is minimum wage, but it lets me play that course for free as often as I like, and any other course in the county once a week. Between the two, and with the discount package I've already bought for the year, it'll considerably reduce the cost of playing.

This evening Mrs. Fun and I will head to a local music venue to see Ledward Ka'apana and Sonny Lim perform Hawaiian music for a couple hours. My brother is really inspired by Led and sees him whenever he can; I've got a photo of the two of them that I plan to print out and have Led sign for him, as a surprise for when the brother comes visiting in early April.

I skipped out on the men's breakfast, it's all wet and damp, so I'll save my wet ride for the trek to work. Should be clearing and in the 70s again.
I really, really enjoyed the 70s.
The best music, don't bother arguing, you're wasting your breath. There was some good music later, but for the sheer volume (pun?) of listenable, exciting tunes, it was an era like no other.
And now many of my 70s music maker heroes have left me for their eternal rewards.
Or maybe punishment, I can't say, and besides I'm not the authority on who goes where... and I probably wouldn't want that job anyway.
But for the moment -- coffee is great, life is good, and there's always room for improvement. Mostly in that guy I see in the mirror.
Maybe somewhere in the vast universe, tucked away in a galaxy I haven't yet seen, is a collection of all those musical talents who first stirred me decades ago, and still do thanks to our magical devices that can summon their melodies at any given moment.
No, now in case you're wondering, I didn't intend to drift in that direction when first I came to say good morning and drink coffee with y'all.
But it was a fun detour.
At least for me.

I love out-of-the-box thinking, I have always been accused of it in my career. 🤔

I find it amazing that if you … can begin to feel or sense or even imagine how large and wide the universe is, your brain can, soar into that unknown and yeah, okay its unimaginably huge, goes on Forever, I get it!
sooo now flip that, now look inwards, smaller.. see that? And whatever that is.. it can be… smaller, magnified, smaller, magnify.. Forever!!, no matter how small.. it’s exactly the same as huge, forever big.. the universe is.
How far can see you see in, before your brain can’t do it anymore? 😵‍💫

Okaaay, lost where I was going with that, just too much ground, well.. space.. to cover. 🤣

I got the rattle can in for my attempt to make parts of the fairing look better, this should be fun, typical of my can’t leave well enuf alone, and turns out worser projects. But a 53 buck can of spray paint should do something on its own.. right?

Gotta figure out how things work on here, inserting stuff, can’t find or no button to get to the end of current thread from initial screen, or how to default thread to list latest, first? Ahhh to be young in thought.

The Delkevics hit the ground! 😁 last part this go around. Now this can get to shakedown soon enough!

CTRL+PAGE UP and CTRL+PAGE DOWN do the same.
The newest Unread threads show up at the top of my feed here (the red box with a number beneath it), and also the newest Replies to threads I follow or have Replied to, indicated by a bell with a number in red next to it.
On phones or tablets you just have to scroll up or down.
But, I mean, you wouldn't want to read posts out of order, would you?
That might upset the equilibrium of the entire universe, and that would be a mess for all of us!

29F/-2C as I start my workday...if I log in early, I get done early, and my weekend starts early. At least that's the plan. Supposed to be relatively nice today and through the weekend before yet another storm rolls through. Currently calling for some more snow early Monday, changing to rain by Wednesday. I may try to get garage and maybe yard stuff done before then. Eh, can't think of much else...maybe the coffee is wearing off. Gotta get a refill, stat. Take care y'all!
 
Good morning, fellow space cadets! Much obliged for the coffee.

We got a full day of snow on Wednesday and I must admit, it was awfully pretty to look at. It was what I like to call "Christmas snow" - big, fat, fluffy flakes quietly falling and sticking to all the boughs and branches, making everything look like a postcard. There was a lot of it, though, so plows and shovels could be heard in the aftermath. Today, we have overcast conditions with possible scattered flurries this morning and clear bits here and there for the rest of the day. Temps will range from -6°C/21°F to -1°C/30°F (with respective windchills of -8°C/18°F and -5°C/23°F). Things will warm up considerably over the next few days, and that will bring above-freezing temps and rain, so things might get a bit messy. Looks like "transition season" is approaching. Unfortunately, that doesn't make people jump up and down with joy around here much, as for the past several years, "transition season" has been accompanied by major wind/ice storms + power outages, ice dams/overflowing rivers/flooding, etc. And we still have all of March to get through, and March is notorious for delivering some spectacular snowstorms and a nasty cold snap or two. Ah well, we shall see. maybe we'll have a calm one this year... and maybe pigs will fly.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 14f in MA this morning, rising to 43f, later.

Yesterday's trip to the local ski hill worked out much better than Wednesday's.
I got there before the lifts opened, waited until the first-tracks folks got off, and enjoyed 3 hours of skiing.
Voltarin, knee brace, and Tylenol all helped. Freeze sleeve before and after, as well.
Brenda cooked up some pasta for dinner so we could us up the leftover spaghetti sauce.

Today, we'll be packing for the trip to France and Switzerland.
I notified my credit union of the dates of the trip, so I don't need to spend an hour on the phone to get our cards turned on, again. That happend on our Switzerland trip, a few years ago.

Morning Martin & All from a mostly sunny day in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 52F, up from 28F and heading for 65F. We have a breeze already, coming from the NE @ 4mph. Later, we'll see the winds from the NNW @ 8 to 9mph.

Well, this has been a :censored: :censored: :censored: of a week and I'll be glad to see it GONE!

It was supposed to be a FUN week of No Adult Supervision! But early Monday started out too early with the bug people waking me up, and I had no energy the rest of the day (since I didn't get much sleep all night). Tuesday, I took the truck in for an oil change and later, wound up with oil on the garage floor, due to sloppy work. So that took care of my energy level for Wednesday, having to clean up under the truck. Then yesterday, I decided to ride the :dr13: (my 2012) to a BBQ place, not too far away. I had a great lunch and, although only a 50 mile ride, it was turning into a nice ride, RIGHT UP TO THE message I got from a guy I sent a alternator to, in BC. The alternator wasn't working! :censored::censored::censored::censored: So, after coming home, I pulled out another, packaged it, spent another $75 for shipping and I'll take it to the Post Office, once I get going this morning! (This morning, the hamsters started on me around 6am :censored::censored::censored::censored:).

That's it, no more trying to help ST1300 people out. It seems, every time I do, it bites me! As the ole saying goes:

"No good deed goes unpunished!" Yep, that's me! :censored::censored::censored:

On a lighter note, Chris will be back later today. I'm sure she'll fill me in on the week visiting her father! :box1:

BTW, the BBQ was great! I might see about having a WeSTOC 30 meal there! :)

Eggs. bacon, toast & a Pepsi to start the morning.
