Good morning!
Kjeldsbergs Brazilian eco dark roast on the pot!
Two sips and you’re ready to roll.
Or not.

10˚c/50f, sunny, 25mph cold wind from north.

Tomorrow is Norways Constitution Day. A big thing with parades and the lot. Peters kindergarten is having the parade today, so I’m obligated to stand curbside and shout «Lever kongen, lever vi ! Hei, hipp, hurra!!», while waving frantically as Peter marches by.

Then, cleaning house, buying wine, no shrimps today she says, we have leftovers she says.
***** (wow that’s fantastic) he says.

Have a supernice weekend!
Stu

Todays situation, colder than it appears

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Life's a b**** so coffee is a must...

G'Day...

so lets see what we can agitate today... deadpool_small.png

7°/13°C today, mostly overcast, only a few, random patches of blue standing out like pixel errors, and some wind to cool everything down...
shamans mumbling something about chances of precipitation which I decided to ignore... hence da ST parks in front of the office...
Some ***** tried to run me over, only to shrug over my proximity and blaring horns... :cautious:
obviously one of the "I'm entitled!" types... but lets not start the debate about those real life encounters again... ;)

The usual coffeenication to keep me alive and functional...

Yesterdays NT surgery went well though...
With a headlamp strapped to my skull I fixed the issue in like under an hour...
Had to remove the VRR to get better access to the wires... tight but doable without removing the LH pannier...
It appears the whole sizzling originated at a crimp of the VRR side; interesting as those are the thicker wires...
The Noco battery had not been depleted (13,4V), so the system still charged...
Stator seems to have survived, equal readings on all 3 legs...
So has the VRR, after the repair I saw nice 14.1~14.2V across the entire rev-band... good!

Them blueish crimp-connectors have a shrink-tube with hot-glue inside, that'll seal properly...
Still scheduled to check that biannually...

Also intend to put a new stator + VRR into storage... better to have then to need...

And ze GF is pleased she can use her favorite means of transportation again... without mayor damage or costs involved...

Today I'll have to catch up with some household chores, which got halted due last weekend's tour...
Saturday ze GF has to participate her dad's 'grande family bicycle tour de force'... we'll see how that turns out...
I'll likely use the free time to wash those motorcycles... they're still crusted from last weeks ride-out...

anyhoo... enjoy the weekend... and stay realistic!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the early coffee, Stu, and Happy Constitution Day Eve.

It's 67°F and mostly cloudy in Rockville. 84 is the high we expect, under cloudy skies that may drop a bit of rain between 1800 and 2100 hours.

It's goof with old friends today. We tried for last week but got rained out so today's a make-up round.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Stu. 60F on the dog walk with a bright moon, stars and no clouds which made for an enjoyable walk.
have gym this morning and not much after that so I will have to wait to see what the afternoon brings besides a high temp of 90F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.
Enjoy your parade, and time with Peter.

It's 64 and cloudy in MA this morning, rising to 80 for today's high. We might get a passing shower or t-storm this afternoon.

Core and leg day at the gym went well, yesterday, and I got home in time for lunch.
I talked Brenda into a session at the range, where we didn't suffer too much from the two weeks off.

Today, I'll head over to my friend's restaurant for some filter duty, before another session at the gym.
Brenda was planning on pork chops for dinner, before I shanghaied her to the range, so we'll have that to look forward to.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good Morning, Cold, cloudy and raining,10 C , high add 3 degrees. Phone says no Sun for the long weekend. Have a MRI appointment at 1:30 PM, check on my digestive system. Not sure if Cancer medicine is causing me bowel issues or my diet choices and damage from food poisoning many years ago. Any surgery will have to wait till the fall as I want to ride this Summer. Bowels have been misbehaving for over 30 years so what is a couple more months. Thanks Stu for Coffee, Good work on the wiring Martin, how many miles on the GF's bike? That connection is a problem on Hondas it seems, my 81 Silverwing needed the same repair, same for the 83 Cx650e eurosport. Well not much more to talk about, so will wish Y'all have a wonderful weekend. G

Morning all! Grey and wet here, 9C now, 12C for a high later.

I'm working from home today so didn't get to ride in. I solved the issue by running into town for an errand and then extending the ride around the top part of the Saanich Peninsula. Needs must.

I nearly got clocked coming home yesterday. There's a series of double round abouts that no one seems to grasp how they operate, including me when I first moved here. The one that deals with the road coming from the airport requires me to go 3/4 of the way around while the folks coming from the airport enter it at the half way mark. I can't count the number of times that they start to go before they realize I am coming around. Even with my turn signal clearly on.

Well yesterday, a couple of cars tried to go and one, being driven by a young kid, decided to stop when he was half way in, blocking my exit entirely. Thankfully, I've now come to anticipate that event and watch for it so I was able to get on the brakes in plenty of time and stop but I did require a change of gitch when I got home. Just underlined the need to pay attention and be constantly aware of possible. It was further emphasized by a bumper sticker I saw at the store this morning when running errands; "Motorcyclists should be seen and not hurt".

Got an email this morning that my new lock and keys for the topbox have shipped. I had to spend $X in order to avoid usurious shipping fees but ended up spending a bit more, shocking I know. However, I did get a rather nice looking t-shirt, at least it looks nice on the webpage, out of the deal so I am counting it a win. :)

Hope everyone has a great day and Happy Constitution Day Stu!

Tomorrow is Norways Constitution Day. A big thing with parades and the lot

Thank you for the coffee Stu. We have a Norwegian friend from Stavanger with us this week. She lost her partner earlier this year, but we spent much time with them on the bikes when we lived in Stavanger in 1999-03 I remember May 17th with great fondness. Our daughter took part in the parades in all three years..

Torill isn't aware, but we have Norwegian bunting and a b-b-q planned for her tomorrow!
