Dunno if this also mattes in the US market, but last night I received an email from Garmin that the NT 2025.1 Europe is the last version, due NT format being discontinued...

This has some legal ramifications though, as its unclear how this will impact any (active and paid for!) Lifetime subscriptions...

After all did Garmin promise 30 years map support there...
 
I think last time I read the "lifetime" fine print it said something to the extent of free for the lifetime of the product cycle, meaning when they discontinue the unit or need to change the data format because new units are not backward compatible, then the lifecycle of that product is done - absolving them of future map updates. Sort of similar to how Apple does software updates on mobile devices, and Windows does with it's pc software....

I always looked at "lifetime" as a marketing gimmick.
 
Still on my unofficial 2020 map on my 2010 Zumo 660... found my way home so far...
Let's put our trust in global resources converting Open Street Maps into device-specific formats every once in a while...
