George Catt

Yes, surprised me. He was a good friend and will be missed.
Ran into George many times on the road. He was the first guy I saw change an ST tire at a campground. He was innovative and a pretty good mechanic. My heartfelt condolences go out to his son Adam and the rest of the family. A true loss to the ST community

It seems like part of this thread or another complete thread is missing.

I don't know of George Catt. Maybe he was on another site?

Regardless, the passing of a loved and respected friend and good man – sometimes even to those who never knew him or her is a sad loss.

RIP George Catt.

George was one of the first people I met on this site.

George, I hope you are riding with all of those that have left before you. You were one of the pillars of the ST community.

Yes, it does seem the first part of the thread is missing.

George's son, Derrick and another guy who's name I've for gotten, started an email group way back many, many years ago when the 1100s were still new. Everyone had a STOC membership number. Derrick was number 1. The STOC membership numbers are over 8000 last time I looked. I believe George was number 004. That's how long George was around the ST community. He will be missed.

Ride in peace George, ride in peace.

The year was 2013 and I'd ridden to the Moonshine lunch run from Central Indiana on an 82 KZ750 I'd had apart 4 months.
We've all done it, done some maintenance on our ride and in the enthusiasm to go to an event like that forgot to bring the tools to do a head bolt cinch after 50 to 100 miles to give them a second torque.
George saw me inspecting the compression leak I found under the tank and he got his tools out to help me torque all the head bolts again.
When we pulled out together to go to the farm, he was doing better than 85 mph because my needle was buried on that KZ.
Pictured is George experiencing the ride to the April 2013 MLR in the way a lot of you have seen his bike loaded.
