Brief note (as knowingly any "meltdown" procedure here seem to have priority in deleting any posts "from abroad"... ):

went into a shopping spree today and ordered like a dozen parts for the mangled NT700VA my GF managed to crash in September '25...

... ah... so we need to break out the umbrellas... ☔

Nah, just strip off the broken and start replacing! Works well! ;)

I won't even talk about that AZST1300 I've been working on since last January!

Shipment to Austria might be expensive.
Already shipping within "the old world" has grown expensive...

And its beyond me why the tariffs for sending items to a landlocked nation like AuSTria are getting exorbitant...
At times shipment fees can exceed the actual price of the goods ordered...
Germany -> Austria, standard: € 25,- (for a small, lightweight item like a front brake lever... nuts!...)
thankfully I have an account at a forwarding agent near the border, and by using this address it suddenly reads:
Germany -> Germany: FOC... aha... :cautious:
the forwarder then utilizes the Austrian mail system for the 'last mile' at less then € 5,-... I just saved € 20,-...

Even shipment fees from UK or France are suddenly cut by half when using the "Teutonic" ZIP code & addy of named forwarder...

But compared to the surrounding countries we also have to pay two to three times the price on food and beverages at the stores...
And mind that those food-chains are almost exclusively operated by German based corps... #idiot tax...
