Thanks for the warm welcome.

Here is a few pics

When I picked her up.

In the Man Cave along with all the other bikes.

Here in Australia we have a spider called the Red Back and this thing was full of them. When I removed the front fender I almost got bitten by one, scared me witless.

Corrosion everywhere from sitting under a tree for 7 months.

The air filter had dropped foam into the housing, this is one of the worse I have ever seen, all the foam has just disintegrated. I have a new standard one to go in and I will check the pre filter later.
The front brakes are seized and I am in the process of overhauling. I managed to save two Pistons.

Obviously not these ones, what a mess.

Now I have no choice other than to start at the front and work my way back.

The forks are a bout to be done as well as repaint the front wheel,
Next the brake calipers, then the timing belt and an oil and filter change.

Then the carbs, what a surprise, I fitted a new battery and she fired up straight away, no rattles, no smoke , no weird noises, the engine appears to be sound but the left valve cover has some damage from being laid over at some stage.

Here is how she sits now.

It's going to be a trip I think.

One last thing for now before I start work on her again.

Even though this bike has been neglected and looks sad I am amazed at the build quality. I could be biased towards Honda as this is my current favourite ride. I have owned this bike for nearly 9 years and have ridden and modded it extensively.

Will keep you folks posted on further developments as I go.

Cheers for now

Welcome from WA STate!! Looks like a nice project. Watch out for that Williamson character over there...... Heard he likes AC/DC and beer....:D:eek::headbang:

Stripped the front wheel today, two layers of paint ,one white one grey.
Pain in the ass but it's done.

Prepped my other Honda for a trip to the Ragged Fringe rally for the NSW Moto Guzzi club.
Had a great time the last time I went. This prep will occupy me up until Tursday evening so the ST will have to wait.

Parts are accumulating.

Stay tuned for some more updates.

Nice Firestorm (?).
Welcome from Northumberland UK.
Keep a close eye on them blummin spiders. Makes me shiver, what with them and dunny spiders.
