I see a lot of conflicting info on helmet speakers. Looking for speakers (no communicaton) to fit in a HJC Symax II helmet.

Anyone have any first hand knowledge of a brand they recommend?

Thanks

All the speakers I've put in helmets have been from Autocom for communications setups.

I've just taken some el-cheapo headsets and broken the straps off... twoside taped them in... ran mini plug to my Roady ;) Worked great for me until I got my Autocom :D

If ear buds might be an alternative to speakers, then you should try a pair of these:

I've found them to be quite comfortable under the helmet, with good quality sound from my nuvi 660...

My opinion, Autocom speakers are 'ok' for sound quality, but have to be placed perfectly. I find Edsets are better and have more latitude on placement. The Skullcandy earbuds are even better sounding, if you like that kind of arrangement.

get speakers for you ears er6i will do a great job and block lots of wind noise like earplugs do

I have the Edsets and they work well; however, I don't like the wind noise. I'm thinking about integrating noise canceling into the Edsets if possible.

ER6i's will give you some of the best sound quality. I've also got a set of custom made that I enjoy as well.
