It appears my rear shock has sprung a leak!

My '95 ST1100 is at 104,000 miles and it looks like the rear shock seal is leaking. Are these repairable? I just looked up shocks online and have sticker shock! Are there good economical replacements? Should I just get a good used one from ebay?

Normally a stock ST1100 rear shock is a pogo stick at 50,000 miles.
I have heard of the stocker being rebuilt but it was not cheap.
Unless they state the mileage (and it is really low) I would not waste my money on a used EBay one.
I went with a Wilbers replacement and have been very happy with them (on all 4 ST1100s).
As the old saying goes -
"Buy the best, cry once, buy cheap, cry over and over again."
