Good morning everyone

And what an early morning it is, at least for me. I've already been awake for almost an hour, and out of bed for 40 minutes.

Let's finish off the Kicking Horse and move on to other varieties, shall we?

It's 41°F and reportedly clear in Rockville. Sunny and 70 later on is what the guessers say.

Had a nice time at yesterday's social event. Talk is cheap but the honoree, a sometime riding buddy of mine, resurrected his claim of "planning" to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and offered me the loan of his FJR should I choose to come along.

This is something we've talked about for many years and it has yet to happen, so I won't run out and gear up for it just yet.

Other than that, I'm pleased to report that we're back into the happy zone of more time wher the sun is above the horizon than below it. Yay!

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Thx Keith!
That FJR thing sounds mighty fun to me….just saying.
But please don’t ride like this.

9˚c/48f, calm, fog lurking.

Today will be shopping for shrimps.
Clean house.
Maybe a walk. I may now use both hands again to to shield should I slip and fall.
Clean engine bay on the Rav….they spilled some diesel during the service yesterday….pffffft!? Yes, pfffft!

A glass or two of vino tonight, six weeks ( who’s counting?) since the last.

Have a good one?
Stu

Todays situation at 8 am. Fog out at sea, a foghorn to be heard…

There’s a very specific kind of silence in the morning...
where it’s just you, your coffee, and the realization you have to do this again tomorrow... :coffee:

G'Day...

4°/13°C, some wind, haze, sunny, making it appear way warmer as it actually is...

TGIF... 😎
here at the office everyone is spreading hectic, realizing that the week is ending... emphasis on suddenly...

as announced I refueled the trusty Toyota last night, 98 oct premium for € 2.039,-/ltr, which makes about € 7.72,-/gal in ancient units...
ze GF isn't far behind, by opting for low grade, ethanol contaminated diesel at € 2,019,-/ltr... (clean, premium diesel comes at € 2,279,-/ltr)...
her Skoda will acknowledge that sludge by starting harder and belching out a white plume in the morning, but rattling along as usual once warmed up...

About to redo another offer (we do that over and over again till they finally find the price to their liking...) and then I'm outta here... 😁

enjoy ze Wochenende! 😎

Morning all and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

You might be up early, but there's a Spring in your step.

Sitting just below freezing here with flurries. I think it's supposed to warm up a degree of two and stay cloudy. We'll see.

Hope everyone has an excellent day, and an even better weekend.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Keith.
The BRP is a nice ride, and you should nudge your buddy to plan on it.

It's clear right now in MA, becoming partly, then mostly cloudy before the predicted rain arrives later in the day.
Temperature is 27, rising to 53.

Yesterday, I managed a later than normal visit to the gym, then came home for a nap with Brenda. She's been nursing a cold and needed the rest.
Later in the afternoon, I went out for a walk with the neighbor's dog, then back home for dinner.

I never did get to the stairway railing. Today.

On the cat front, They're out and about, but still a bit skittish. I've been reading in the playroom, and had two of the more skittish ones sitting nearby. I was petting Kailua, thinking it was Monica, until Brenda came by to remind me who is who. She's picking up on the difference in their markings bettrer than me.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Keith rides again...?
Hope so.
I'll help you finish the -Horse, as long as I can be assured it's not left over in the pot from yesterday. If it is, y'all are welcome to my Black Rifle, ground and dripped just now.
I have to leave in a few minutes anyway, for breakfast with my friends.
I'm moving slowly... not from just waking up, but because I'm sitting outside in the dark, and have to feel for my coffee cup, as there are no lights on and no sun yet.
I would hate to knock it over.
I can see stars in the sky, but they're not throwing much light down here like our nearest one can do.
Glad you can use both hands again, Stu. I'm rather attached to mine, and they do come in handy. (Must be channeling @Obo )
No story again today, due to a creative deficit and a pretty boring life right now.
Tomorrow is a birthday party for one of our nieces, and Sunday her baby boy is christened.
I reckon it's more like a dedication kind of event, because he's much too young to make any conscious choices. We humans start rather slowly, compared to most of the animal species.
And I've always been slow anyway, even as a grownup (which is debatable), but I'd still rather be human...
One last note... this morning I read @Mellow 's post about the Honda Demo Days with interest, but the only Honda event I see coming to Birmingham is SuperCross this month.
Really not interested in $30 tickets to go see it.
So, no story, just the usual rambling on. Like the Led Zeppelin song, but doesn't sound as good, and with much less talent.
And no drums.
Good day.

Good morning all!
Thanks for the start Keith!
I’m on the road shortly, I’m starting my slow migration north. 48/76F - 9/25C
“Cheers” to those on the “other” side of the pond!
I’ll be back home in about a week, freezing certain bits, I’m sure!
Enjoy your day!
WB
Keith, that FJR will put a big arse smile on that face! But take it easy!!

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Keith.

Gonna feel like Spring today. Starting at 50 and hitting 77 this afternoon. While I was mowing yesterday, I noticed several broken limbs that are still hanging in the trees. I’m not sure what it’s going to take to get the limbs down, as one limb is about 15 ft long and 4” diameter, and it’s directly over the power line coming to the house. Pffftt, I’m too old to climb trees with a chainsaw, but I’ll probably try, anyway.

good morning all. BRP. what a ride. lived only 30 minutes from it in VA. many trips running solo just to clear my mind and other times with my dad Oh what times I had. 67F right now in Tucson with a high of 100F. much of next week will be in the 90's so summer is starting early. not sure where Spring went.

so far I've held my own against my Parkinson's but the last time I took the ST for a spin I just didn't have that safe feeling I use to get. so with much talking to my wife I've decided to put the old girl up for sale. I have to come up with a price and things that go with it. so that might take a week or two. my wife did say that maybe a smaller bike would work. I do so love the way that girl thinks. so for now I want to wish all a great day and safe riding. I'll still check in from time to time for coffee and a chat..

G'morning, all. Thanks for the brew, Keith!

First day of spring indeed. The word of the day is...snow. Lots and lots of snow. Should start falling pretty soon now and will keep falling until tonight. Pffffttt. -4°C/25°F now, high of -1°C/30°F, feels-like of -6°C/21°F in both cases. And that's all I have to say about that.

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Morning Keith & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 39F, up from 38F, and heading for 86F. Nothing stirring yet, but later the winds will be from the W @ 9 to 12mph.

Yesterday, I went to check out a place that was clearing out a bunch of their shop displays and what have yous. Of course, by the time I got there it was all gone. So I stopped by the place I buy my gravel, $1,000 later, I'll have 20 more yards of gravel piled up on the side of the house. Along with one more 6' roll of landscaping cloth. That will give me what I need for the front north side of the yard. I was also able to dig down and find the irrigation waterline. After cleaning it up, I cut it and connected up the line that runs up to the greenhouse. I'll still need to get a faucet for the other end of it, before I turn my water on.

Once Chris is up, we'll get something to eat. Pepsi(s) will be on the menu at some point.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
