So i was loaded to take my first big trip on my new to me ST1100, and wouldn't you know it the stock 28amp decides to take a crap .9 miles from the house. One thing i learned is that bikes no fun to push back home. So lucky for me i have a parts bike with a good 40Amp that i will be using for a donor. So Hopefully i can get this process done and back on the road in no time. So i got as far as removing the gas tank tonight and figure i should reward myself with a drink

You need to go play the lottery. The only thing luckier would be to have it fail in the driveway. Good to hear you have a donor alternator.

Call it dump luck but while taking apart the old Donor bike I found the U joint to be gone… now mind you this was my main bike up until about the first of june

It is now that Is now our parts bike and the oem with 210,000 on it say it’s gotten it’s use
