A clean up script must have run crazy and zapped a bunch of posts.

My backups were taken after the fact so not much I can do.

Oh well, sometimes you have to clean out the garage and buy new tools.

Sorry for the inconvenience but it is what it is.
 
No this cannot be correct considering all the information that has been here, there must be a backup of forum content saved in case something goes wrong during the upgrade / change of the forum. I will refrain from writing more here right now.

I haven't been active for more than 6 - 7 months and 110 posts are gone which is almost half of my posts. There are probably many more posts before 2023 that are gone.
 
isn't there something called " the Wayback machine" on the Internet which archives and saves all the pages of popular websites from a historical standpoint? I've never tried to use that or visit that website but I've heard about it.
 
PS: I have only been a member here for one year I joined a few weeks before I bought my ST 1300, while I was researching this make and model,
when I saw a classified ad for [what became] my bike.
 
If this is the worst thing to happen to us today we are doing pretty good! The forum is still here, The members are still here and their knowledge is still available! This site will always be a treasure trove of knowledge and information!

"The members are still here and their knowledge is still available!" Well...I'm not sure we can take that statement for granted. Some would say I didn't make sense back then, and some would say I still don't. So is my "knowledge" still available? I think its debatable as to whether it ever was "available"...or could be called "knowledge". ;) :D

Yes, there are more importend things in life, but your reaction as an Admin dude is not correct.
So much importend and great articles are gone.

I would say your reaction is not correct. Take a breath! Joe does this on his own time and we ALL benefit. Sometimes s÷%×& happens. Nothing can or could be done or I am sure he would have done it already. I am thankful every day that he has this forum. Without it, I would be spending a lot more money and time fixing and maintaining my bikes, and for that I am appreciative.
Life will go on and most of the information will still be there in members heads and i am sure willing to be shared again.
