Wednesdays prove Monday wasn't an isolated incident... :coffee:

746269391_1369539498438618_3472979752492904410_n.jpg

G'Day...

19°/29°C, a tad soggy at 65% RH, haze, a few clouds... 🌤️
media outdoing each other with "severe thunderstorm warnings!!!"... pfffff...
like for last night... which then turned out a slight drizzle some-when after midnight... :cautious:
yeah, the south saw some action... rain, hail, strong winds... regular summer thunderstorms... ⛈️

home Nespresso... :coffee: (we've been at my place as ze GF had a physio appointment nearby...)

commute uneventful...

office, dull, Nescafé... ☕

project work is growing more and more annoying...
it ain't about equipment selection, and proper planing anymore...
authorities, operators and property managements now grew absolute sticklers about "certificates"...
Not only for the units to be installed; EMC approvals, high efficiency/COP, max operating noise restrictions, etc...
Nah!
certificates for the refrigerant lines, the insulation on them, for the glue and adhesive tape used to join named insulation...
plus legal disclaimers that neither production chain has any illegal child labor involved, or contains raw materials from crisis countries... :cautious:

At times the efforts & labor all this research and inquiries require, start to outweigh the actual profit...

I'm not saying that I'm totally exited to retire...
All I'm saying is, that I still have 1324 days, 13 hours and 30 minutes to go...

have a good day... 😎

Thx Martin!
Mrs Stu retired a week ago, very happy!
Me not so much yet, bu we’ll get there, I’m shure.
Being supervised all day will make me ride and fish more, and cook less.

Today is 12˚c/54f, fog, 15mph wnd from north.
Media leave us out when the infamous heatwave is debated.

Yesterday my bike got clean(er), but no ride.
But today…

Have a good one!
Stu

Morning all, and thanks for the startup Martin.

Countdowns are good, but when your time is up, it's up. Live for today.

Today, it's 16C here, and the fog is burning off under a red rising sun. Last night's rain, hail, lightening & possible twisty things didn't happen. Overall, that was a good thing. Temps are supposed to get up to 31 under a full blaze Sun, so I'm unsure of what to do today. It may be more home stuff as I had to buy a new doorbell system, but there's also some Goldwing maintenance I'd like to do. There's also a potential for some motorcycle riding, but there's also a nap thing I've heard of that might be calling.... Decisions, decisions.

A shout out to @Nashcat who's been absent of late. There's always a cup with your name on it.

Hopefully you all have some fun.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
Our cat, Laguna, continues to wake me just before the alarm.
Don't forget the certs for your Nescafe and the water needs to be PFA-free.. ;)

It's "sunny" and 77, rising to 87 with more sun and haze. The haze is kind of a good thing for us/me, since with that, I won't have the sun beating down on me all day. That was the case, yesterday (haze) and I had a nice breeze at my flag station as well.

Who knows where I'll be working, today, but most stations have shade at them. We erect EZ-Ups where there isn't.
Today will be a combo race school and Club event that we'll be flagging. They put the school on-track earlier than the Club, so I'm off to work at 7:30 today.

Stu, congratulations on Mrs. Stu's retirement. For some reason, I thought you were already retired. You must make work look so easy...

Enjoy the day,
Steve

ze GF will retire like 3 years after me...
she's already accusing me that I'll probably just grab my ST and 'go on a world tour' without her upon my retirement... 😁

Howdy, and Happy Wednesday.
Martin, sounds like your company needs some lessons in leadership, and maybe in business systems as well.
Much study has been conducted about government regulations and how that affects the cost of doing business... less is more, is the takeaway.
Regulations - environmental, hiring practices, reporting, taxing - all contribute to making it more expensive to run a company.
I'll leave that topic alone, because... well, just because.
But our company exists to help business owners learn to systematize their operations, overcome and avoid bottlenecks, identify and remove barriers to growing and scaling.
So I'm pretty hot about analyzing structures and thinking about how they could do better.
But I didn't really come here to discuss business. I just came for the coffee.
Another day with threatening summer storms, it will be warmer, and maybe, just maybe, I will ride before or after the skies are crying, as I did yesterday.
For some reason, I also mistakenly thought Stu was retired. Don't know where I keep coming up with all these ideas that are just wrong.
But he does have a pretty motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the coffee's made, first cup poured, cats are fed, and I have things to do.
Including going to work.
Probably should do that.
Do something nice for someone today.
Sometimes it's fun to just see the look of shock or surprise on their face.
And let us know of any @Nashcat sightings.

You omitted 'shadow working' and constant/increasing demands for all kinds of "extras" and "subsequent requests" FOC...

The bottom text on every offer clearly says "regulatory filings for facility/operating permits by client", which means 'we don't jump through those hoops for you!'...
Yeah, right...
"... could you... would you... do you... you have too..."... pfffff... :cautious:
Stress with applying/filings at the building authority... for a residential single-split with 2,5kW/8500BTU/h... ARGGHHHHH!!!... 😱
And then its denied over the CDU datasheet listing 41dB(A) operating noise... "... during night times a max noise level of 40dB(A) must not be exceeded..."... seriously?!

Reading the posts about your frustration levels with your employment situation since you moved in to the office role leaves the impression that you were much happier when you were working in the field as an HVAC technician. A the grass isn't always greener type of scenario. If there is not any desire, or possibility, of returning to that role don't let them get to you. As has been said- We work in order to be able to live, we don't live to work.

@steve3b3 and @Sadlsor and others.
I AM retired, very much so indeed.

Was trying to say that I’m not yet very happy with Mrs Stus’ retirement, but I will be, I’m shure.

Sorry for the confution!

I also think you have a Visa credit card, # 4500 2334 3528 4456 exp 10/28 with a CV code of 334. If that's not correct, PM me your correct one.

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 78F, heading for 90F, with more threats (because that's all they are) of more thunderstorms. We did get a total of 0.08" yesterday of the wetstuff. And over the next few days, we "should" see more. We'll see. :well1: No breeze yet, but we expect to see the winds increase later, coming from the WNW @ 9 to 12mph.

I decided not to make the planter any longer, so I added more dirt and water. So Chris can go out today and plant her Iris's. I will try to avoid joining her, so I can get my stuff done, but I'm sure I'll some how be involved with it. :cautious:

Once Chris is up, we'll fry some eggs, include some bacon, toast up some homemade Sourdough and I'll wash it all down with some OJ. And then we'll have some Pepsi(s) later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Yes, it is. Is there no possibility of going back to that role?
Interestingly the job advertisement I applied for was the position as a field tech...
So at the first day I showed up in full work uniform... no... there... desk... huh?! 🤔

Dunno... I'm torn... dealing with traffic... fighting for parking spots... being outside in all kinds of weather... and a lower salary...

Good Morning, hang in there Martin and thanks for starting today's thread. Oh yeah and Coffee... ground up Some Tim Hortons beans. Okay only beans at the Safeway store,Tasty though. Sunny 62 F high 78 and partly Cloudy this afternoon . Last nights ride showed that I still have some debris in the carbs , curses. Ran great the first ride after cleaning the float bowls and Slow speed tubes. Guess I have to do a complete tear down, Phffft. Not today. Today Agenda who knows! G
