Morning all! French roast is in the pot. There's Timbits too.

Just imagine, a month from now is Christmas Eve.

Hope everyone slept well, visions if sugarplums dancing in their heads and whatnot, but it's time to gett'er goin'. So grab a cup and let's make this Monday remember who's the boss.

Hope you all have a great day!

Obo.

To anyone offering me decaf:
No thanks, I’m not ready to give up on life yet... :coffee:

G'Day...

-3°/1°C with grayish overcast today... only a hint of precipitation due freezing fog in the morning...

What's the risk when females are in sick leave/home office?
They get bored... various projects haunting their head... like motherly tendencies...

ze GF booked me for a full health examination for this morning... on a Monday!
You've to appear "sober", hence no morning coffee for me... :cautious:
I kinda hate those annual MOT/TUV checkups by default...
Already the grand-grandmother claimed:
'... don't visit a doctor! Those fellas are only keen to find "something", and suddenly you're "sick"...'
yeah, it seems being their business model...
Run from station A to C to B... etc... get treated condescendingly, shoved around and then some...
Arrogant PYT with a stethoscope gasping: "... total irregular heartbeat! We need an EKG immediately!!!..."
The way more relaxed EKG specialist behind his monitor 10 minutes later:
"... and why exactly have you been sent over to me?!..."
"... Dunno, ask the genius in exam 3..."
"... pfffff! Sir, your ticker runs like a Swiss watch!..."
ah-ja...

Anyhoo... first coffee for me at 0945hrs when I got back home... :coffee:
And then heading to the office... another Nescafé boost... :coffee:

Of course are there a lot more doctor's appointments in the pipeline... pfffff...

Have a good one!

Thanks for the morning juice, @Obo . It IS worth the squeeze. (And I ain't skeered.)
Or the grind, in my case.
Martin, don't let the old man in. And too many doctors leave the door wide open.
It's a Monday, that's all. We'll go to work, and do what must be done.
After coffee, but also WITH coffee.
It's not just for the mornings, anymore.

G'morning all, and thanks, Obo. Ugh...can I just sleep through Christmas this year? Pleeaaase?

We have fog and gloom (or gloom and fog, if you prefer) this morning and 0°C/32°F with a feels-like of -2°C/28°F. That should change to a mix of sun and clouds in short order, then we'll (apparently) have a few hours of mainly sunny conditions, then back to a mix of sun and clouds. The high will be 3°C/37°F with a feels-like of 0°C/32°F. Not too bad, all in all; much better than the constant, dreary "snain" that fell all day yesterday.

Right, gotta go do stuff. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee Obo. I have to hold off on the TimBits until after my (fasting) blood draw, which should occur any minute now. But then I'll be all over them.

After the blood draw I'll head home for breakfast before leaving for goof with the usual neighbor.

Nothing else planned, other than staying out of Mrs. Fun's way as she continues to sort through, clean, and prep items for the upcoming event raffle.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Martin, don't let the old man in. And too many doctors leave the door wide open.
There a number of other anecdotes...
Like the gal drawing blood actually forgetting to fill the other eprouvettes, apologizing for having to sting me a second time...
On me remarking with a grin '... ah yer all vampires here..." she claims to indeed originating from Romania... pffff... :roflmao:
Or about the "red mafia" here:
there is pretty much no parking around the (NHS/city operated) medical center...
so you've to use the (also city operated) parking facilities on the premises: 160 minutes for juicy € 12,-... total price gouging... :cautious:

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Obo.

It's 35 with clouds and snow showers in plattsburgh this morning, becoming partly cloudy and warming to 41, later.
We'll be heading for home in a few hours, and we expect sunshine and a high of 46.

We had a nice weekend with our daughter and S-I-L, exploring the area and doing some shopping.

I caught up with yesterday's thread, and hope everyone is on the mend.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Morning Obo & All from clear skies in Southern Utah!

The mind rats were at it this morning... So I'm up... sort of o_O

Currently @ 8AM, it is 26F, the low for the morning, and heading for 55F with Sunshine, all day! No breeze at this time, but later, the winds will be out of the N @ 6 to 7 mph.

Well, WeSTOC is on it's way here. I have the hotel setup and I should have Adam adding the hotel info today or tomorrow. I have to work on the info for the Event Page. And around 2PM take Chris's Highlander in for an oil change. And beyond that, start getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Chris isn't up yet, but we'll probably have eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) for later, as usual.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

G'mornin' from SoMD! It is bright and shiny here today, best looking Monday we've had in a while. 33F/0.5C and headed to 56F. TY TY for the boiled bean extract, Obo. Humanity is now safe for one more day!

A WFH day for me, the office is up and in use. Still needs some cleanup and touches but functional. Yesterday was a performance day for a friend's original musical to which my wife and me lent our voices. It was only a reading, so no need for costumes, props, etc. Just sat and read/sang. We'd gotten a few rehearsals in before and it came off pretty decent...he got what he paid for. Being in the works for 10+ years, he wanted to assess how it flowed, where to cut/add, what worked/sucked, etc. I'm glad to help a good friend, but I'm also glad it's over so I can concentrate on stuff of my own.

Didn't get to much on the wife's car. Aired up the tires even so I know which one(s) may be leaky. That's about it. Thus, the nagging will continue...wouldn't feel like home without it.

Prob some garage stuff to do today since it'll be reasonably warm and I'm scheduled for blood donation #99 this afternoon. Take care y'all!

Good Morning, Thanks Obo, Ah donut holes, yes will have some. Well have done my work this morning, opened Airport parking lot Gate. Made breakfast,2 eggs on toast with a slice of cheese in-between, and coffee. Been making my own breakfast since I was 9 years old, when Mom went back to work. Yeah really good at fried Sunnyside up in the fog eggs.
Well weather, Mix of Blue sky and clouds, chilly at 38 F high of 44 F wet stuff this afternoon. Good thing bike is almost out of gas, so she won't be calling me out for a ride. Pension check coming in Wednesday hopefully, then will fill gas tank. Gives me two days to give Lady a bath and waxing. Still trying to figure out what heated Gloves or liners to get, of course Money is a issue, battery operated are the lowest cost but work for 2 hours on high, bike powered are about the same cost but then I need cables and a controller which doubles the price. The Search continues, any suggestions? Today's agenda take a Cage to the grocery store, and clean Lady. All the best G

Morning all! Thanks for getting us started Obo, I'll take possession of any sour cream glazed timbits thank you!

It's grey and overcast here with rain on the way. It's currently 7C and that's the way it will stay for the rest of the day. I drove in today as I have a physio appointment late this afternoon and it's a pain carting all the gear around through the clinic. Also have to pick up dog food and assorted other sundry items to car it is...was....is....will be?

An old friend from NZ reached out over the weekend and we finally connected last night. He's moved to California about 30 years ago, got himself married and started a business. He goes back to NZ for visits but sounds like his roots are now planted on this side of the Pacific. It was good to catch up and get updates about various people I knew in NZ. It was funny, I had just been thinking about him a week or so ago and thinking that I should reach out. Spooky stuff this interconnectedness thing.

Hope everyone has a great day and may the only holes you encounter be donut ones....I'll leave it there!

On me remarking with a grin '... ah yer all vampires here..."

I spent several days in the hospital, a few years ago. Each morning around 0500 the phlebotomist (a different one every day) would come in to do their thing, trying to determine (I presume) whether I had yet been sucked dry and was therefore on the short list for discharge, or if there was still more in the turnip that the accounting and accounts receivables departments might yet find ways to extract.

On the last day, I was already awake when that day's vampire arrived and I made some joke about the vampire service... she smiled and agreed, then extracted the requisite amount and went on her way.
