Sold the 03 ST a few weeks ago. Had some cash burning a hole in my pocket.....

Wife said OK......
Because it wasn't another ST1300.....

So, after looking at the two smaller Honda dual sports made in the last 10 years......

I found an 08 crf230l. Street legal, little putt putt....:)
IMG_20170706_110047.jpg. Disc brakes, electric start....._20170706_111239.jpg. It will do 60+ even with my girth.....

Congrats! Perfect for running back and forth to the marina. Excellent for grabbing the sun tan lotion you forgot up at the house. With this you won't even have to go the long way around. You can just point it down the hill and go...

My wifes dad has one and it is a fun little bike. We go out on the road to find a nice trail or old logging road and then right into the mud, dust and dirt. Great fun, but yours is looking a lot too shiny so go find some mud. I guess I will be next to announce my new addition to the family after I get it, maybe as early as next week. But I need a bit more than 230cc. BTW, funny how the US is non-metric and yet the bike engines are not in CID...hmm. Point to ponder. Yes I know about Harleys...BTDT.

So that is 14 cubic inches of good old Japanese iron. ...hmmm 230 cc does sound better. [emoji41]

Hahaha. Good one. I knew someone on here would do the math. But a great little bike Todd. Perhaps a big bore kit can get it up to 15 CI?

Still kinda looking for a crf250l.........:). bone stock.......so many have been messed with.....

I know it well.
I put 6K miles on a 230L I bought new in ATL. It had street BS tires (mounted on separate rims) deflector screen OEM hand guards/tailrack 4 piece soft bags custom (long) front fender extender and a few more upgrades.
I had to 'pin' the throttle quite often lugging my 220# frame around. It handled like a motorized bicycle. I also put 6K miles on its' bigger brother the 250L.

Congrats Todd! I'll bet you will enjoy it.
I have a DR650 and a Tiger 800XCX to keep my ST1300 company in the garage.
Are you going to have the suspension set up for you? I'm doing my Tiger now. The other two are done already. Sure makes a world of difference.

Prior owner put lighter fork fluid in.....that will get changed back to OEM.
And I dialed up the rear preload. Prior owner was a 125# female.
Otherwise I kinda keep my stuff stock. It will be a neighborhoood putt putt bike for me.

STOC-TOBERFEST is coming up.........!!?? Any more time off??

Looks like fun Todd! Are you going to put a RDL on it for those long rides? :)
