Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately, today, I dropped my XENA lock on the gas tank as I was handling it (not well you would argue).

As a result, the paint suffered a pen size chip i.e. 1/16 of an inch in diameter. What is the best way to fix this. Obviously my concern is rust. I have an 05 ST, the bike is red (the fastest).

I haven't seen paint as an accessory for bikes on the Honda site (I'm in Canada). It is for cars. is there a brand name off the shelf paint that may do? Color code?

Again, thanks.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Go to your Honda dealer. They can order a touch up bottle of the exact paint code for your needs. Don't ask me how I know this, please.

Color Rite is another source for touch up paint. They offer it in several different ways of which a couple might work for you.

touch-up paint

Underneath the seats (or gas tank??), there are some stickers along the bike frame. One of them indicates the color codes for your bike in case you need to order the paint for whatever purpose...

OK, once you've got the paint what do you do with it. Basically I have some scuffs on my tank from my belt and I would like to do a professional job. I have the touch up paint but I don't want to just go and spray it on!
