I've had my ST for quite some time but haven't been riding much for a while. Getting back into it and looking for a few things like phone mount and/or Android auto screen.

I used it primarily for commuting (although I did travel "back in the day" with previous bikes, including a 5 hour trip on a a VX800 with 3 days of clothing, which was a squeeze, all in one tankbag) but I've been working from home for several years and the bike has spent much more time sitting than it should.

Now I stand to have a riding partner as my 19 year old is taking the MSF course in a couple of weeks so I'm getting excited for that as well as just getting back into riding more in general.

I love riding with friends but with family it’s tops. My ST is new to me but my daughter has been my riding partner (pillion) for years and it’s always a special time for us. I rode with my wife for years on our Zuma 125s in Mexico City, of all places, and when she got on the bike she never again asked my why I ride even though we had kids. She got it. Best money I ever spent.
 
Welcome here, and welcome back to riding. One of my friends from church finally got his unrestricted motorcycle license as a 60 something year-old adult because his 20 something kid decided to start motorcycling.

I'm from Cumming /Gainesville, but I am in Marietta most weekends-- so basically I'm on the north side or the west side of Atlanta.
 
Welcome to the forum from NW Georgia, you're getting back into riding at just the right time- fall in Georgia!

I agree with the riding with others- not really my favorite time. I do, however, like riding with my sister, when she comes to visit. We have spent countless days riding the backroads of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Congrats on getting back in the saddle.
 
Welcome aboard. If you've not been riding much for a while, you might want to get your bike in tip top shape for rides w/ your son. Might be some good suggestions in this article.
