There's French roast coffee in the pot, and plenty to share with my friends.
It's 25°F in Rockville but feels like 15 thanks to a 6 mph west wind. Mostly cloudy and a high around 37 are anticipated.
I can see that sunsets are taking place measurably later- we've already clawed back almost ten minutes of daylight before the sun disappears. It's still rising later though- we won't begin to receive our daily dose of ambient Vitamin D until 0727.
I'll keep working on the bench today, until around 1600 hours when my cousin and her husband will arrive for our annual NYE get-together. We'll probably last until 2100 hours and call it good. Maybe I'll advance the wall clock so that it chimes midnight at what is actually 2000 or 2100 hours, so we can at least simulate staying up late.
