Hey all I have a question about the Nolan N102?.. Can the VPS tinted visor be in the down position with the clear visor in the up position?? I haven?t found any info stating that it will work in this manner. I am looking at this helmet to use with the J&M 2003 CB system I am getting ready to order in a few days?
I like my Caberg helmet and the visors will work independently of each other but it doesn?t look as if there is enough room to install the J&M Headset in this helmet without some discomfort of some kind?..
Thanks in advance for any info???

Larry

NO, the tinted visor is on top of the clear visor.... the clear visor can be in the down position with the tinted up or down....but the tinted can only be in the up position if the clear is up.

No the tinted visor is on the out side of the clear visor. so if you want the tinted visor down you have to have clear one down too. You mite want to look at the HJC sky maxII it has a visor that works like the Caberg.

Thats why I took the tinted visor off and went back to sunglasses...

I like the helmet but it's getting old. My next one I may go with the internal sun visor..

Nolan has a N 103 available in Europe that has an internal sun shield so hopefully it will be in USA not too long from now. I like the N 102. I have added a couple of strips of black electrical tape to top of the clear shield for use against bright sun early or late in day also. Only question about the internal sun shield is whether they will interfere with those with prescription glasses or not.

Hey Folks?. Thanks for all the info?. Just looking I thought that the tinted visor might bypass the clear visor, guess not, oh well?? Looks like I will be looking at a HJC Sky MaxII helmet? I see a review by ACL here that talks favorably of them so I will give them a good look see??
Thanks again???? Larry

The new Nolan N103 is a brilliant helmet. All the comfort and pedigree of the 102 and with an internal visor which can be lowered over glasses if needs be.

Ive had a 102 for a few years and it's the best helmet Ive worn. The 103 is better and has a much better and more efficient ventilation system.

I have a 102, and upgraded the visor to the two piece with dark shield. BAD move. The transition line moves up and down as your head tilts, taking the transition in and out of vision. I could not safely ride with it, and changed everything back to the standard visor. I thought my passenger might like it, so I moved it to her helmet. After one ride, the adjustable tint is now in the garbage can. Very expensive lesson learned.

Having the ability to quickly go in and out of tint is still very desirable, but it must be most of the entire screen, not just half way.

Thanks. Looking forward to getting it over here in the States..

Anyone know the timetable for this? It may worht holding on a little longer for the 103

I'm VERY happy with my Caberg, I need a helmet where I can use the visor with the shield up, as well as the chin bar if I want it up.

I do use a Caberg Justissimo, the new version, with prescription glasses the inner visor doesn't interfere with the glasses, I installed the Autocom speakers and boom microphone, very comfortable but still don't tested in a long ride, as a matter of fact, it is much comfortable and has more room for the speakers/ears than the older version.

J.Luis ( just coming out of lurking mode and almost ready for a looooong ride )
