While cruzing the local Wal-Mart aisle, I came across these in the camping section. Looks like it would work for packing on the back of the bike. Construction seems good enough to stand up. If not they have a lifetime warranty. For 6 bucks I thought it was worth a shot. They had the 20L size ($6) and the 40L size ($12). They also had the smaller three pack of valuable dry bags.

For the price I'm gonna give them a shot. May pick up the larger version also.

Probably good for a few uses. The easier the use the more uses. If you intend to use it, buy the REI stuff and cry once.

I used one for my sleeping bag on my '08 trip to Alaska and it kept the bag dry the whole trip. It was bungied on the top of my left pannier on the KLR.

The beauty of it is, with the lifetime guarantee, if you wear it out they send a new one. Or I could buy 33 of these for the price of one at REI. Each their own. I do usually buy quality stuff, however this is one of those things where it doesn't really matter too much.
