Painting panniers and a fender - volume question

I don’t trust myself with paint- when I got the 94 refinished, I had a pro bike painter do it (BDs Cycles in Lexington, SC). You pay more of course, but the results are better than any factory paint.

but in the scheme of things $80 over a few years don't amount to much.

This. I've not done any painting nor had any done. But if I'm about to spend big-ish money I consider now long that spend is going to last. Because once it's done it's in the rearview. With a little time it's seldom a memory and I just have the product that makes me happy.
