Progressive Suspension rear shock for ST1100

Does anyone have any expirence with a 420 Progressive Suspension rear shock / or Progressive Suspension rear shocks ? Made in USA. Do they make good shocks ? I've got offer to buy a new one. Thanks !

Good shock. You won't be disappointed. Be sure the spring is suitable for your weight.

I had a 420 Progressive on my ST1100 for many years. The 420 is an older Progressive model, the 465 is a newer shock and somewhat better designed but overall I would not hesitate to buy a 420.

IIRC, they don't rebuild the older shocks any more - but I could be wrong.
Wilburs also makes a nice unit.

There may be someone else that can rebuild them when the time comes.
Progresive made a good unit but when they started refusing to rebuild the older ones, some folks walked away from them.
