Gloves Rain Gloves Wet Weather Gear

Ok I got caught in a storm last night coming home from work. I'm pretty much set for rain gear except for a good pair of rain gloves. Looking for some input on what others are using. I have a pair of Gerbing heated gloves that are supposed to be rain proof but i'm looking for more a 3 season glove without the extra bulk.

My experience is that the textile gloves with hypertex, shelltex, hippora etc. work out pretty good for waterproofing but that the treated leathers do not. I ended up with a cheap pair of Joe Rocket blizzards and they are doing a good job for warmth and waterproofing - but they are bulky and don't offer the kind of armor I associate with typical riding gloves. My hands tend to get cold easily so I put up with the bulk. I never found a non-bulky glove warm enough for me.

One alternative I've been using this past summer is to simply wear a pair of latex hand liners under my regular gloves. You're leather gloves still get wet but the latex acts as an insulator for your hands and doesn't compromise the fit. I use this method when I make late-fall, early-spring rides in chilly weather, too (guess I could break down and by heated grips....hmmm, now there's another farkle to spend $$ on!).
 
I'm on the endless search for the ultimate glove that has less bulk due to my small hands. I want it to be a 3 season glove and waterproof.

I switched to the Drystars from Alpinestar this summer for about $40 and am pretty happy with their performance. I have heated grips though so I can extend them into the colder weather. I wish they had a wider and slightly longer gauntlet but they still suit my needs for the cost. Rode two days straight in the rain with no issue and after their initial break in they are easy to get on and off even with damp hands.

Aerostich Triple Digit Overgloves are a great choice. They not only help keep your hands dry, but warmer too. Even in cold weather riding when worn over your heated gloves. Pack up very small too. I don't leave home without them. :yes:
