Removing covers over engine protection bars

Hi Guys,

Can anyone advise if I can remove the plastic bits over the engine protection bars without removing that part of the fairing? I can see it's held on by one screw and a few clip type protrusions but I don't want to damage anything by forcing it.

No problem....back out the one screw, squeeze slightly and off they come.

Squeeze and pull on the back part first as there is a tab that locks behind the fairing in the front.
