Riding after Total Shoulder Replacement?

Has anyone here had the experience of riding after "Total Shoulder Replacement"? I am 66 years old and the '98 ST has 110,000 miles on it. Well beyond the breaking in period for both. Any experience/advice would help.

My wife who rides a BMW R1200RT, had reverse shoulder replacement, in the fall of 09. Before the surgery she could barely get her arm to the handle bar. After surgery she can raise her arm above her head. The summer after surgery we made a trip to the west coast, and have another one planned this year. She also enjoys doing yard work. Go for it.
