G'Day...

3°/11°C today, and for the first time this year I actually had to break out my shades on my way to work... ☀️
So while your east coast is battling blizzards, the first brave riders are out over here...

Not me though, as the white crystallization on the trusty Toyota grimly reminds: still lots of debris and slippery brine present on the damp roads out there...
It'll require the "Spring Monsoon" to wash that off the blacktop...

very essential to be home and office caffeinated... ☕

Yesterday I was out...
Na, not 'out' as in having a date with ze GF... (except she volunteering to stand in as chauffeur, driving me to the facility and back home...)
I mean literally "out" as per my request for light anesthetics during that medical inspection/procedure scheduled Monday morning... 😴
And the leaflet/legal information paper you've to sign clearly states: no important decision-making or operating any motor vehicles/machinery for 24 hours after the procedure...
So with me still being dosed up we called it a day and hung out on the sofa, chilling and binge-ing... 🥱

Neither the Sunday afternoon prepping for this, not the procedure itself are any fun... 😒
I'll spare you the details though... 😉

alright, work is calling...
clients en detail email request turned out not to be what he wanted... hmm... 🤔
So its up to me now to start an "inquisition" to get to the bottom of this... right... pfffff...

Its Tuesday, Monday's evil twin... 🙄

Thanks for the start and sounds like we've got similar weather here on the lower mainland
glad your proceedure came off without a hitch  I'm still recovering from extraction / implant / bone graft / implant / antibiotic [now I'm officially a member of the old ______'s club; telling my medical stories]
but I think the antibiotics did me in the worst either that or the no alcohol for ten days and four days after the pills are done... four days! that's gotta tell you these things are hard on your innerds
yesterday started out looking bleak and damp in the early morning I didn't even want to pull the cover off the XL I left in the back to get it back in the front under the carport
ended up with a long break in the rain and was gone a few hours in between had a good tour around Port Moody and Poco took a rip down glacier street which is west of the train tracks which divides colony farm
regional park from the industrial area and had a peregrine falcon drop swoop down from the tree line along side and pass me getting chased off by three black birds [he didn't look worried] got a few good pics here and there
Might extend the insurance a bit more before getting anything else out, we've had a lot of salt spread around don't feel like cleaning it off anything complicated to easy to wait another week for a good hammering of rain
Wish everyone a good one

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Good to hear things went well.

It's breezy (14 mph from the NW), clear, and 24°F (which feels like -2 thanks to the aforementioned wind) in Rockville. Later it'll still be breezy but will ostensibly reach 38 under clear-to-mostly-sunny skies.

I can do whatever I want (within the constraints of my abilities, my finances, and weather conditions, naturally) today as my calendar is once again empty.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning all!
Thanks Martin, glad you survived yesterday!
Presently 39/65F! That’s 4/18C!
There will probably be another crop of Iguana’s fall from their hidden places in the trees, due to this crazy cold weather!
Stay warm, stay hydrated & stay inside, if at all possible!
WB

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
Glad you made it through your procedure.

It's sunny and 23, rising to 27 for today's high. The sun's shining brightly on the fresh snow from yesterday's storm.
Our snow total was 14.4", according to an app I use.
We spent the day binge-watching the TV weather and reading, until the snow died down, about 3:00pm, yesterday. It took us about 1.5 hours to clean up the walkways and driveway. I did most of the cleanup with the snowblower, but Brenda helped out with the snow shovel on the deck and front porch stairs. The snow and plows had covered our mail box, so she knocked that down, so the postal workers can find it.

Today, I'll probably head out to the gym for a bit. No rush, though. Many schools have cancelled classes again today, so I expect a busier gym.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

It’s my morning personality override... :coffee:
Coffee is my personality enhancer, as I'm normally a laid back, friendly kind of a guy.
But I dunno... maybe that's because I stay coffee'd up at all times, at least while awake.
We let y'all upt'-northers have all the snow, cuz we don't need that chaos down here. But 23 this morning is an inevitable side effect of your snow follies. Yuck.
But it goes back to the 50s later today, and 70 tomorrow (YAYYYY!!!) and warming over the next few days... at least until the next round of winter's last gasp.
The problem is, this cold has set me back and I've passed my 24k service on the BMW... this weekend I should be able to take care of it. Oil change, valve check, final drive lube, plugs, etc.
Weather.
Weather or not... you're absolutely correct.
I just don't have much to talk about, or maybe can't remember, after just one cup of coffee... I'm still working on establishing my minimum required caffeine level, before I go back to maintenance mode, where i can sustain the caffeine equilibrium.
So as I pour my next allotment, here's to a day of balance.
"The key to keeping your balance is knowing when you've lost it".

Thx Martin!

This is for you…

5˚c/41f, a slight breeze from somewhere, was sunny, now overcast. Will be windy, only Ethel knows how windy…

Been for the first walk uphill in a while.
Felt good.

A bewildered nephew is coming to stay for a period, so it will be tacos for dinner.

Have a good one!

Morning all!

-3 and cloudy, headed to -12. The snow stopped about 7am this morning while I was still trying to move it all. Total cleaning time, almost 3 hours. We have 2-4 feet of the stuff, with the higher amount in drift areas and less in the windswept spots. Thing1 left for work this morning just before 5am, picked up by a snowplow.

Here's a few snaps from this morning's work.

A little overhang on the roof as well....

Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee.
Glad the procedure completed nominal.

Chilly here in ne Florida @ 36f should reach 60fs, sunny, bike is still waiting for last parts.
Can’t wait to feel it sorted.

Looks like my phone want to go to IOS26.3 tonight. As a rule, when I was working we wouldn’t ever put on any new rls for any major app, we would let the rest of the world exercise it first then we would upgrade.
But I digress, and I note that I seem to do that a lot.

A bewildered nephew making tacos in Norway. Can’t make this up lol !!
Sounds like a good read or a trip to the gym!

This morning feels like the tail end of last night, for lunch am thinking tacos, go figure!

I think my next shakedown cruise will be key westish.. sounds like paths could cross, I dunno, just can’t wait to ride!

Take care everyone, enjoyed the wake-up!

Good Morning, really not awake yet. Tuesday,oh yeah Garbage day, only difference between Monday. Sunny outside,1 C/34 F warming up to 9 C/48 F. Slight breeze from NNE at 3 to 5 mph. Today's agenda, urologist appointment this morning, then the monthly blood work for Cancer Meds. Well not much else on my mind, but Thanks Martin for coffee, Y'all have a great day G

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 59F, up from 29F and heading for 62F. The winds are already blowing from the SSW @ 6, but later they will be coming from the WSW @ 10 to 12mph.

Martin, it sounds like "your procedure" went as good as mine did, two week ago. It's the prepping for it that kills one! :poop:

Thanks to the early wakeup from the bug people yesterday, I never recovered, so I got pretty much nothing done. Today, I have an appointment to get the Tacoma's oil changed, just after noon. And beyond that, who knows.

Chris must be having a great time in Kaliforniastan, so far all I'm getting from her is a text each night, saying "good night"! :cautious:

I'll go fix myself a couple of eggs, right after I get done with this. And I'll have a Pepsi or two later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Back at work in the office today. Cloudy with sunny bits. 5C now, 8C later.

The new pup is settling in just fine. She's a velcro dog but that may be just a bit of anxiety over her new surroundings, we'll see. The other dog is adjusting to having to share space again. Overall, they're getting along fine.

Obo, those pics are incredible. That is a metric crap tonne of snow. Best of luck with the continued digging out.

Hope everyone has a great day!
