My clutch lever has developed a 'sqeak' this year, for lack of a better word. Kind of a binding sound and feel when pulling in the lever. It's working just fine otherwise. What should I be looking for? Just some lube somewhere?
Could be the brass bush needs cleaning, greasing.
Remove lever lock nut and pivot bolt. Clean bush, grease. Reassemble. make shure oush rod goes inside the hole on the brass bush - mark the top so you know where the hole is.
It could be poor lubrication around the pushrod, under the boot. Silicone grease under there - but it is very difficult to replace properly once it has been removed.
New bushing (old one did not look bad), a bit of grease and a good cleaning. (a lot grimier than I expected, probably most of the problem).
Nice smooth clutch lever movement now.
