Swing arm bolts were changed/modified. That's the only change I'm aware of other than the police bikes have a speed limiter I believe.Watched it.
His generic statement that 2003 model years had handling problem, the ‘weave’ in the UK that was dangerous, was somehow fixed by Honda in subsequent years made it safe. What did Honda do, if anything?
High speed on a police kitted out bike, with none of the other factors known, is pretty much useless.
Too many variables could contribute, road/weather conditions. Rider experience, tire conditions, on and on….
Never had an issue with my 03, but mine has the Honda topbox, not a police equipment box.
My bike is maintained and tires are always in great condition with proper tire pressures.
It still is a great bike
Only available on certain ST1100s.I may have heard of traction control on the ST, but don't recall which models may have had it.
My 2008 has ABS, but no TC.
Does anyone here have it on theirs?
It must have been rather early on in the development of such features, and I'm not familiar with it at all.
Does it actually help?
Or was the vlogger making the statement in error?
Giggle tells me it was taken off the 1100...
Have a read through the below. The part relevant to the instability of the first year production ST1300's in 2002 is about 2/3 of the way down.Watched it.

120 mphWhat is the ST1300 PA speed limited at? I haven't hit mine yet @110. I haven't seen the need for more than that yet (or a sufficiently safe stretch of road to do it.)
