Yes. A 90-series tire is taller than an 80-series, all other things being equal. The 80 or 90 is the tires height in percentage of the tire's width.
The OEM front sizes are 110/80-18, ABS or not, thru '95, as well as '96 and later non-ABS, and 120/70-18 for '96 and later with ABS.
You might get a closer match to the overall diameter with something like a 105/90-18.

I would say no. I used a 130/70 and it was close to rubbing the fender. The 110/90 is 3/4 of an inch taller than the 130/70 . 130 is 1/4 inch taller than the 110/80.
They don't make that size.
