Got the seat back from Saddle Craft, South Shields. It's too damn wintry to try it out but it fits, looks the ticket and is blummin heavy. Gel must be heavier than foam, it's official.
Will my buttocks feel as though they are being carried aloft by Angel's Wings. Only time will tell.

No, more likely your buttocks will feel like you are sitting on a block of solid ice until that gel warms up to ambient temperature... by sometime in late July each year, I expect.
