Are all ST1300’s Pan European? I have a 2007 I recently picked up, and I see all kinds of references to Pan European. Just wondering if all ST1300’s are Pan European or what makes a ST1300 Pan European?

H can I tell if my bike has ABS?

All the same thing. ST1300 in the US and Pan European everywhere else. ABS will have an tone ring on the right side of the wheels. Congrats on the new to you bike.

Newf, yes they are, but were only ever officially sold as Pan Europeans outside of the American Market as far as I'm aware. The ST obviously makes, reference to its Sports Touring credentials.
The bike originally came about because Honda Europe didn't envisage being able to sell the GW on this side of the pond due to its image and bulk. They wanted something more sporty and lighter, although I'm not sure the ST1100 could be called a lightweight. It was a very successful bike though and produced almost unaltered for 12 years, more if you count the P model.
The 13 nearly didn't occur as Honda were contemplating the X type. This was shown around 2000 as a replacement for the 11 but never came to fruition although some of its styling found its way into the 13.
Your dash should show ABS lights on start up and then extinguish once riding, if not you haven't got it.

If it's a 2007, I'm pretty sure ABS was standard by then. When I got my 2005 it was an option which I got, but after that I do not think it was. As answered above, look for the red ABS light on the right side of the panel when you turn on the key and it will turn off once you are rolling, i.e. 5-7 kph. Hello from the west coast of the Rock.

They are all ST1300s... Pan European was what it was called in other countries and even had a special badge/decal on the sides of the fairing. But, they are all pretty much the same, some European models get the HISS immobilizer system.

Hideous! Just as hideous as the DN-01... that thing was uglier in person than any picture. Saw it person at Moonshine! GAD! o_O

Another easy way to check if you have (a working) ABS: ride straight on gravel or grass. Press your brake pedal hard in an effort o block the rear wheel. If you feel a pulsating pedal, you have a working ABS. If your rear wheel blocks continuously, you don't. Be careful doing this of course...don't go too fast etc.

Maybe American bikes are different but this side of the pond, there's an ABS sticker on the front fender.

My North American model doesn't have anything on the fender, but does have small ABS stickers above the tip over bars.

I think the ABS stickers above the tip over bars were only on the sorta silver '03 models in North American markets.

One of our Stowners members from Belgium traded them for a donation toWheels Through Time. Don’t think he had any more,or where he got them.High quality,& so was he to think of donating money to the museum

I think BikeQuip did a limited run of Pan American badges on request some years ago. They make resin Pan European badges for the UK and European market.
