that we only get 4~5 hours after work before having to prepare for bed,
just to go back to work again, is a real scam... :coffee:

G'Day...

9°/14°C, gray, overcast, rain for evening and throughout the night... 🌧️

home and office caffeination... :coffee:

its a single weekday between a bank holiday and a work free day here...
and not wanting to waist any of my precious vacation days, I went into the mine today... 🤫

yesterday's NT session went well... 😎
both forks fully overhauled, old oil barely discolored, only minimal sludge at the bottom, all fully cleaned, new seals and dust rings, fresh charge of 470ml W10 in both...
also replaced front and rear brake pads (down to 30%) while already at it, so we don't have to think about them when riding to Sweden late summer...

ze GF rode to the MOT station, "unfixed appointment*", means she has to drop it off, they'll look at it when they find time and call once the verdict is out...
(* next free real appointment would have been in 3 weeks from now...)

however, Friday, gonna leave this place at 1230hrs...
and next week?

We're off work and out riding! :dr11:
ze GF has made reservations at a spa hotel (some coupon issued by her civil servants union) 😎

Thx Martin!
Enjoy your upcoming ride!

10˚c/50f, sunny, almost calm, a beautiful day.

A LOT of chores tiday….inside and outside…..if I were unsupervised I’d go for a ride……pffffft!

I might take a brake to see a less fortunate friend from back in the days. He’s got someone to drive him to the island for a few hours.

Have a good one, count your blessings!
Stu

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the post-holiday-pre-weekend coffee, Martin.

It's 51°F and cloudy in Rockville at the moment, could be 72 and partly cloudy later today. I'll take it.

Another uke joined my collection yesterday, a lovely Kala 8 string tenor-size model. I've been looking at it for a couple months and the last of my self-restraint crumbled and faded after I spent much of the weekly strum session playing it. Now I think I need to divest myself of some other from the collection, and I know which it will be. I'll offer it as a raffle item in December's JACL event, unless they do a raffle at the summer picnic.

It's goof day today.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all. It's a Friday here before a long weekend too-ish, with Monday being Victoria Day, to honour Queen Victoria’s birthday. She'd be 207 this year.

Other than that tidbit, it's a cloudy 11C headed to a rainy 16C. I'm working 12ish hours today, so I will miss most of the outdoor happenings.
The 3 day weekend though, will be nice. Lots to do around the homestead.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Obo.

Good morning, folks. Thank you, Martin, for the cafe.

Here in MPLS, it is 59F and will warm up to 86F. This is the warmest day of the weekend
It will be raining all weekend. Happy Friday and weekend to all :p

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

The Weather Underground says it's partly cloudy and 46, but all I see is blue sky.
It'll allegedly become cloudy with a slight chance of showers, as the temp rises to 58.

We hung out around the house yesterday, except for a trip to a late lunch/dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant. We stopped by Walmart on the way home to replace a broken feathered cat toy and some diabetic socks that the traveling nurse recommended.
Brenda put the toy to good use, and at one point, had all three cats jumping and scrambling for it. Laguna actually caught it and walked away with it, until she figured out that there was no one at the other end of the stick!

Today might be up in the air. I'd like to get to the range for some pew-pew time, and if the rain holds off and the lawn dries out, there's mowing to be done.

Enjoy the day,
Steve
