Today is preparing for tomorrows drive to Oslo.
We’re staying for a week, combining some car work for my son, and visiting friends and family.

There will be a walk later today.

16˚c/61f, wind is picking up now, 30mph from south, clouds on their way, might be rain later.

Hope the nor’easter won’t do you any harm! Looks nasty on the telly…

It's 59°F and cloudy in Rockville. The pavement is still shining with wet so I'll conclude that it has continued to rain at least intermittently through the night. More rain is likely today, from 0700 through 2100 hours local time as the nor'easter continues to make its presence known. We're well inland, though, so the full fury of the system didn't affect us much. Yesterday was breezy but not overly so, and the rain was never more than gentle showers.

The dehumidifier is still on probation; it responded correctly yesterday when I manually triggered the pump that empties the condensate collection bucket but I haven't yet had the courage to let the bucket fill to the point where the pump should be triggered automatically. That's today's goal, I guess. Should be about as exciting as watching paint dry, or grass grow.

Oh, the high temperature outside today will only be 61 or so.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Stu.

It's 56,going to 59, with plenty of rain and wind.
Looking at the radar, we appear to be close to the storm's center.
The TV news folks are reporting a number of power outages, but we're fine.

We did find the cover blown off of the VFR, but it was still laying in the yard.

We stood out in this, yesterday, and will do it again, today.
There were a good number of bikes there, but less than one would expect for the last track days of the season.
The street riders seemed to start leaving after lunch, leaving the track to the racers. Those riders have rain tires and seemed to run in the rain better than street tires.
We had to come off track, due to local lightning, and they lost power for the last hour.

We hung up our wet clothes and put others in the dryer so we'd be prepared for today's rainy event.
We'll feed the cats and dine at our local Chinese restaurant upon our return.

Gotta hurry along, as I'm in video duty at church today.
The sun is just now chasing away the dark, although we saw a beautiful, fat full moon last night.
Time for one more cup, but won't be able to finish the pot before I leave.
It's a good thing I forgot what I was going to say...
Oh, wait.
Keith, consider taking a bucket of water to pour into the dehumidifier to see if your high level switch is triggered.
You know, kind of like when you're in trouble on a motorbike... when in doubt, give it gas.
Most of the time, it's the right thing to do... and the rest of the time, it will at least end the anticipation.

Well we just got the news that they canceled today's track day !

Keith, consider taking a bucket of water to pour into the dehumidifier to see if your high level switch is triggered.

Right. I just have to figure out how I can do that without removing the bucket, which also results in the machine shutting down. There's gotta be a way but I haven't looked closely enough yet to find it.
