Good morning all!
We spent the night in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
I’m offering up a pot of hotel Java!
I haven’t noticed the brand, they keep that from prying eyes!
It’s a beautiful area, but it’s not one I’ll be spending anymore time in.
Currently 54 F with a high of 72!
We have about 12 hours to the border.
Enjoy your day & please stay safe!

Good morning all, and thanks for the coffee Brian.

It's the company that matters!

Safe travels today.

7C here, headed to 17. It's mostly cloudy, having been frosty once again overnight. We brought the delicate plants in again. lest they get get the touch of dread.

Unsure what today holds, but I'm told it's called the present. I love presents.

Have a super day. Safe travels to those out and about.

Obo.

Good morning and thanks for the hotel coffee, Brian.
It seems like you're making good time.

It's lightly raining in MA this morning, and that will continue all day.
Temperature is 49, going to 52.

We got out to the yard, yesterday, where Brenda mowed while I used the spreader to put down some insecticide for ants.
Instead of going out, we got a few pizzas for dinner.

Today, I'll head to the track in Thompson for the last day of the Porsche event, then dinner, somewhere .

Enjoy the day, and the drive (Brian )
Steve

Thx Brian!
Safe travel onwards!

13˚c/55f, some clouds, no rain, 10 mph wind from southwest.

Yesterdays birthday party was ok, pizza and sushi.
Later when my nephew once again began to discuss why his parents are getting divorced, I silently withdrew and rode my bicycle back home.

I’ve had a walk uphill today.
The already mentioned nephew and his mother are coming for a visit later.
Not much else.

Have a fine Sunday!
Stu

Very special light yesterday….

I don’t rise and shine.
I caffeinate and question everyone’s choices.
Mostly yours.
Sometimes mine.
Growth is complicated... :coffee:

G'Day...

17°/31°C, clear skies, freakishly hot...☀️

double dose of Nespresso this morning... ☕

then ze GF left to meet with daughter #1 at a snail-farm...
Yep, escargot has to grow somewhere... 🐌
here in the garden she hates them, but served on a dish with some garlic... ;)
I for one find them quite fascinating, that species exists since 500 million years...

Already yesterday was quite hot, so we dozed in the deck-chairs and made use of the solar garden-shower... 🚿 😴
Me in swim-trunks, right... 🤫

I guess I go back to lounge in front of the TV till she comes back home... 📺

enjoy your Sunday... 😎

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Brian. Safe travels.

Another wet day in TN. Currently 67, a rainy high of 77 expected. Total yesterday was 2”. Can’t complain.

In preparation for my RTE coming up in a couple of weeks, I took advantage of Kroger’s sale on whole beef briskets. At $2.99 a pound, I couldn’t turn it down and bought 2, for a total of 35 pounds. They were sold out of the Buy One/Get One Boston butt roasts, so I’ll grab 3 or 4 later.

I had a thought after I got home… if I had a way to grind the brisket, I would be less than half the cost of their ground beef pink stuff. Might have to go back to the store.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee Brian, and continued safe journey.

It's 53°F and cloudy in Rockville. We've gotten just under 2" of rain in the past 24 hours (including a spell of heavy rain in the middle of last night) but are now in what looks to be about a 24 hour respite, with rain resuming sometime between 0400 and 0500 tomorrow. In the meantime it'll continue cloudy and "warm" to about 63 today. I'm glad on behalf of Mrs. Fun and the rest of those who will be outdoors at Arlington National Cemetery today.

We still need a ton of rain, so I'm glad it's not over yet, but it's also nice to have at least an intermission after 48 hours or so of wet.

While everyone else is out of the house I'll fold and put away the laundry I washed yesterday, tidy up the kitchen, play some uke, and generally relax for a bit.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

I recently did a ride in Ohio, and on one of my evening stops, I went to Theo's in Cambridge , Ohio. There, they offer a ground brisket burger- it was the best burger I'd had in a while. Flavorful, firm, and quite tasty. I considered for a while how to grind brisket, but the only alternative I could come up with was a meat grinder attachment for the Kitchenaid, and I'm sure my wife would have severe misgivings about that......

Morning Brian & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 56F, up from 47F and heading for 79F. No breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the SW @ 15 to 23mph.

Brian, safe travels.

I fix the sprinkler I had install with the new tree and tossed down the last three bags of mulch. Later in the week, I'll have to go back and pick up more mulch for the other part of the planter. I might go ahead and put some of the other plants we have in the ground, there.

Besides church, not much else will be done today. :sneaky:

Once Chris wakes, we'll have some boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Breakfast coffee, and what's this... breakfast sausage?
Oh.
Just talk.
My grandparents used the old hand-crank meat grinder for the beef and pork they raised. Never for chicken, they were that smart.
Many people like sausage, but they don't wanna know how it's made.
They had a hand-crank ice cream freezer too, but never put any of their livestock in that.
Like I said, they were smart.
It rained all night the day I left, so I didn't leave.
Between showers, I went outside twice to install the new brake cable for the push mower, and within 4 minutes it started to rain each time.
Signs from the universe.
OK, I get it.
Surprise... I learned Friday afternoon that the office is closed for Memorial Day. I was aware of the day, but we don't take off for a lot of holidays like congress does, so I expected I'd be working.
Nice surprise, actually. But, I've only worked here for 7 years... head down, shoulder to the wheel, keep your eye on the ball... sometimes it's hard to work like that.
Good thing I'm still flexible, at my age.
Y'all be flexible too.
We can't always know what's around the next bend.
