Hello everyone.
I wonder if someone has experience of how to remove the black plastic dust caps from a 2011 ST1300A swing arm bolt, as per the attached image.
I have just purchased a second hand abba sky lift to help with replacement of the clutch slave cylinder. (Just replaced the CSC seals lying on the ground outside, unfortunately didn't fix it so am going to replace the entire cylinder with a new one, and after the backache last time I thought I'd make it easier on myself by getting a lift!)
Abba advise that the lift pins will engage in the swing arm bolts once the dustcaps are removed.
Only problem is, they seem incredibly difficult to get out. I have bent a pick tool I was using and the caps haven't budged at all. I don't want to damage them or anything else and was wondering if there was a "right" way to do this.
Any useful advice gratefully received.
