Switching odometer between miles and kilometers.

Well after 48,000 miles I some how caused my display to show kilometers and not miles.
I'm not talking about the trip A or B but the actual mileage on the bike.
Looking at the manual there is no process outlined to change it back.

Does anyone know the process ? I have searched previous postings and do not see any reference to the correct procedure.

So, set the display to no MPG info or blank, then hold the FCD/H for two seconds or so.

My thanks to you too, Tom. I was riding my '03 this morning and reached down to reset the "AVG MPG" and accidentally switched the odo & trip meter displayed distance to metric - had my gloves on at the time, naturally. When I couldn't find the procedure in the owner's manual to switch it back, first thing I did before digging out the SM was to look here - saved me a lot of time & frustration, I'm sure. It seemed odd to me that the fuel consumption rate never changed from MPG - obviously a different procedure to change that display, hopefully I'll never need to be conderned about that one.

My odometer reverts to KM every time the batt is low... seems I'm always changing it back... I do wish I could get MPG... never have been able to get the hang of KM/L
