I’ve had a couple come through that were maintained by their local Honda shop for every service, by the book, and were in perfect running condition
I like this game, see if I'm right... First picture, scored race missing bearing. Second on its way to the first. Third, broken retainer clip. Fourth, they just came back from the dealer service and had a sticking rear brake, needed a couple of other things too.Sometimes I can hardly tell what I'm looking at, with Larry's ST-abuse victims.
I see 2 final drive flanges, some weird-looking brake caliper, and a bunch of Honda parts packages.
What is going on with the caliper? (Looking at it on a phone screen.)
It looks like an ex service bike or escort service bike. Just a tool for that job, rode hard and put up wet. I don't think the owner is much interested in touring on it.That customer won't be riding far or for long, if he doesn't start paying attention to some basic maintenance.
Maybe you just need to set a standing appointment for him to come back, John. Depending on time and miles...
Not disagreeing, but even an escort officer can't escort with a failed final drive or locked-up brakes.I don't think the owner is much interested in touring on it.
SS clip missing... pad knocking all over the place and then some...What is going on with the caliper?
I clarify, fleet vehicles don't always get the TLC that your bike or my bike does. I wouldn't ride it like that nor would you.Not disagreeing, but even an escort officer can't escort with a failed final drive or locked-up brakes.
yeah, they're company vehicles and up to that company's service department to put the effort into servicing them. Odds are even the 4 wheel vehicles most LEO departments service are only done at minimum levels or only when something goes wrong and very little preventative stuff. Heck, just storing a bike outside can cause enough issues those of us that care for our bikes cringe at.I clarify, fleet vehicles don't always get the TLC that your bike or my bike does. LOL.
Yikes list:
-Fork seals blown
-vacuum leak
-2 qt oil in the engine
-Drain plug hand tight
-lower coolant hose disconnected
-Spark plugs not gapped
-Sludge in the radiator
-Weak clutch
-Weak brakes
Did I go too far?? </rimshot>
most likely saved his life let alone breakdown heart ache. Well done
Bye bye.
Lookin' good.Bye bye.
No, immaculate like the conception: They never touched it.What did he mean by that?
They wash it?

It didn't whistle, it SCREAMED the call of its people.
I can attest to that looking at you CHP bikes.I clarify, fleet vehicles don't always get the TLC that your bike or my bike does. I wouldn't ride it like that nor would you.
