Mornings!
Coffee’s here.
Another pot of Kjeldsberg, it’s good.
There’s one (1) bottle of Pepsi left, you have to fight over it.

The remnants of Isaias hit us last night, not so much wind, 35mph, but lots of rain.

Yesterday we got a few hours of dry weather and wind, and the grass dried up, giving me the opportunity to mowe the lawn for the last time this year, I hope.

Today? Not a clue.
Oh, forgot…yoga at home…

Hope you’re dry!
Stu

Todays pic is for educational purposes only….it’s to scale, they say…

one should drink the equivalent of 6~8 cups of water a day...
I turn mine into coffee first... :coffee:

G'Day...

7°/17°C, 80% RH, partially cloudy, no rain in sight... 🌤️

ze GF at the office...
me slurping my cups in peace and quiet... ☕
CPU cooler humming, bread maker ticking off the heat...

nothing special on today, except appointment at the MD in the afternoon...
he'll likely just confirms what I already know:
me is getting old... :old1:

There’s one (1) bottle of Pepsi left, you have to fight over it.
Thanks, but I got my stash of original Coke...

Nuka_Cola.webp

Oh, forgot…yoga at home…
men in tights... ugh... 🤔

ze GF is more realistic in negotiating me into (extensive) hikes in the woods and hill-lands surrounding Vienna,
maintaining a more manly approach to exercise... ;)
Frankly the past few years at the office caused some deterioration, getting back in shape might increase chances
of survival during the dawning zombie apocalypse... 🧟‍♂️

have a good one... 😎

Morning all, and thanks for the Carlsberg, Stu. That coffee's got kick.

As for doing yoga, that's a bit of a stretch.

6C and dark here. Sunrise is still almost an hour away. It's supposed to come out though, be unrivalled by any cloud cover, and warm up to 11.
I'm trying to prevent the day of riding from being like your day of mowing; the last of the year.

Other than that, there's work to do. Guess if could always be worse, or better, or just the same. That about covers it I think.

Hope everyone has a super fantastic wonderful day.

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee once again, Stu.

It's 64°F- a very comfortable temperature, as I found when taking the bins to the curb- and partly cloudy in Rockville. Perhaps not coincidentally, the high for the day will be 64; the low will be 59. There are chances of light rain from 1300 to 1800 this after noon but the chances are never higher than 50 percent.

Yesterday's outing to the soccer game was enjoyable indeed. Today should be good; after all, it's Thursday and you know what that means.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late. If you over-indulge in foamy coffee-based beverages, it's too latte for you.

Record highs today again in Birmingham... it ain't summer, because the mornings are still cool / nearly cold, but i appreciate the warmup once the sun comes up.
Thanks for the kick start, Stu.
Roz had an appointment yesterday with some new-to-her ortho/ spinal group, where they took another MRI, and now say it's not disc's, not spine, not torn tendon... just arthritis.
I swear, I can't keep up with all the clinics and doctors and surgeons, but off the top of my head I'm going to say about 12 practices, with about 4 diagnoses between them all.
How do you know who to believe?
Countless visits to them all since springtime.
I'm still spry, or at least pretend to be at 69, and don't have any issues like hers. Can't even imagine how frustrating and depressing it must be, to live in constant pain and unable to function without hurting.
And on top of all this, she has a very low tolerance for pain of any kind. So she just basically stays miserable.
They say the top 3 most important things in life are health, time, and money... probably in that order.
Point is, we all deal with some degree of lack of one or more of these 3 things, sometime in our lives, so this is more of a reminder, as Keith tells us, to acknowledge and appreciate what we have, and who we have, while we still have it.
Because when it's too late, it's too late.
No point in being sorry all the time when it's gone, so enjoy it while you have it... whatever "it" is to you.
I just know that every day I can wake up with a pulse, I am grateful.
Another day, another chance to do something.
So today, I "get" to go to work again.
There are worse ways to live, I reckon.
So don't worry, be happy.
End of sermon.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.
My lawn could use some mowing as well, but it'll wait a bit. I got a bit of help earlier in the week, when the business next door mowed their weed patch along the road for the second time this season. Their trajectory took them through the front of my yard.

It's partly cloudy and 52f/11c, becoming more sunny as the temperature rises to 60f/15c, later.

Instead of the gym, we took a trip to the range to work on our pistol skills. And we needed the work!
Dinner was at the restaurant across the street, and they had a tasty dish of short ribs with mushroom risotto.

Today, I'll try to head out to the gym, and/or take the dog for a walk.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Yeah... there is that thing about (motorcycle) traveling...
- while young you have the energy and lots of time, but lack the founds...
- in your middle age you still have the energy and now even the founds too, but lack the time...
- in your seniority you'd finally have the time and the founds to go, but now you're lacking the energy...

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the cup, Stu. I love a good cup of coffee with you younger guys.

Probably another record high today. We may see 92, but Friday night gets real, with temps on the mid-40’s.

I haven’t touched my mower in about 3 weeks, due to the no-rain September. Ther hurricane dropped 1”, but it was too late. I’ll wait another week or so, to let the leaves finish dropping before I mulch them with the mower.

Dang, I hate these hormone treatments, because today I’m having to hang new curtains that were my idea. First time in 75 years that I’ve felt the need for new curtains.

Ah....... what hormones are they giving you...

Orgovyx. It blocks testosterone, to slow the cancer. At least I haven’t started crying during movies on the Lifetime channel, but I have cravings for ice cream and boxed chocolates, watching football. :roflmao-2x:
Don't visit any clothing stores..... PLEASE!!!

Good morning all!
Thanks for the start, Stu!
I'm a wee bit late to the trough, but I’m here!
I’m off the cut a track through the woods, so that when the excavator finally shows I won’t need to be in attendance; that would be more work!
@Nashcat, good luck with those treatments, stay positive!
Later folks!

Morning all! Sunny and blue sky right now though there are clouds off to the west. 11C right now, which the weather network says feels like 9C...friggin depths of winter already and it's only October....however the high will be 18C...maybe I should have worn the mesh jacket after all.....

I've taken up weight lifting again to try and stave off the ravages of aging. I expect at some point, I may even add weights to the bar but as the Ranger said on the Kokanee commercials "Dare to dream Arnold, dare to dream...."

Nashcat, hopefully curtains are the only side effect and treatment goes well.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember to clean up your mesh!

Afternoon Stu & All from sunny, with a few clouds up there, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 59F, up from 36F and heading for 63F. The storms have moved on to the East, so we shouldn't have anymore rain this week. They are saving the next storm for next week. The winds have been blowing from the NE @ 9 to 14mph, and later, they'll come down from the N @ 12 to 30mph.

Thanks for the Pepsi Stu! :hat3:

The Costco run was a success (for Costco). We managed to clear out our checking accounts by around $500. But the back of the truck was somewhat full. So I guess, that's a good thing. Those paper towels, do take up some room!

Today, I have my new bug guy coming by to spray the bugs. We've been getting a bunch of those big black stink bugs lately. But my neighbor across the street is putting up a block wall, so I'm hoping that will stop, or atleast slow them down, out of the field behind his home.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea to start the morning. And it's almost lunch time, so my allotment of one Pepsi (a day) will be had then!

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

G'mornin' from SoMD! It's a gloomy day here, I guess it's trying to rain but the battle rages on overhead whilst I sit and tippy-type while slurpety-slurp my coffee. Thanks, Stu!

Another WFH day for me and then final dress rehearsal tonight. It's been a whirlwind for me, and wearing multiple hats in this production, well, it wears on me and hurts my own performance. And we shall only mention another troupe that I help out with lights only bc the director is currently on my bad list for waiting until the last minute to give me the cues to program...yes, the same week we have tech for our own show as theirs...when I said I needed them a month ago. So, they'll get the same amount of effort as they gave thought to me.

Anyhow, signing off early to put my nose into the script and nail lines/lyrics down. Take care y'all!
