Drinking coffee counts as self-care...
Don’t argue with science... :coffee:

G'Day... 🥱

-7°/-3°C, overcast, gray, constantly dull these days...

coffee doesn't seem to have the desired effect today, might grab another one... ☕

feeling kinda sleep-deprived, but don't know why, can't recall being unruly or having been woken up during the night...

GF is cheating through the night... wearing earplugs so she doesn't hear herself snoring... 😁
(had to pinch her twice during the night... ;))
So in the morning she doesn't hear me coming back into the bedroom after my :coffee: to wake her...
deep asleep a gentle touch startles her... and then the '...ooohh I don't want to!...' ritual starts... 🤡

another slow day at the office, not much demand for a/c at these frosty conditions... 🥶

and, that Wuestenrot 'home savings' corp called this morning...
"... uhm... err... so we will send you all documents by regular mail again..."
Yeah, you do that... :devilish:

anyhoo... tomorrow is Friday... yay!... 😎

Thx Martin!
Ze GF probably dreams she’s a motorcycle….

Just around freezing, 30mph wind from southeast, sunny.

Been to MILs house to fix the water supply.
She had turned the off the leakage monitor, causing the water valve to shut .
Easy fix.

Then to a very cold walk.

Nothing much for the remaing day, I hope.

Have a nice and dry one!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

feeling kinda sleep-deprived, but don't know why, can't recall being unruly or having been woken up during the night...

Unlike me: I must've awakened ten times in eight hours, rolling over each time. Not quite "tossing and turning" but a far cry from the more usual "slept like a log". I had either one ongoing dream or several disparate ones that my subconscious has somehow linked to suggest that they're a continuous story of some sort. The details, of course, vanished the instant I became aware of actually being awake.

What I do know, because that's what the data from my CPAP app tell me, is that I had an unusually high number of "events" per hour- six to eight times as many as I ordinarily have. Why? I have no idea.

It's Thursday, but we've already begun getting warnings of a winter storm headed this way to arrive sometime Saturday evening. In fact the warnings and hysteria ramp-up began yesterday. In the Winter Storm Watch box on the Windows Weather app (they're just re-posting content from some more official source, of course) they offer this incredibly helpful, insightful bit of advice:

Tips
Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Wow, thanks for that- I'd never have thought of that on my own.

It's 37°F (feels like 30) in Rockville and partly cloudy. We're still 40 minutes away from sunup so the view out my home office window is still largely dark and murky. A high of 52 is on tap, but no goof for me: Mrs. Fun is due to report for the first of two cataract procedures at noon, so I'm on chauffeur and general servant duty.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

Stu, I enjoy your morning photos and look forward to them.

We've had a bit of snow overnight, but now it's merely cloudy.
The temperature is 31, going to 40, and the wind will be 15 going to 25.

Our TV news is predicting snowmageddon on Saturday as well...

I did get out to the ski hill yesterday, for a shorter than usual stay. The new boots felt okay, but I had a constant feeling that I had mis-adjusted them or something. RTFM, and there's a procedure to wearing them, but I only read that AFTER returning.
Anyway, my knee was telling me that it was time to stop, so I did.

Today, I'll shovel the walk and driveway, I've got an appointment with the opthamologist, and I'll try to get to the gym.
Brenda cooked, yesterday, so I guess we're dining out, today.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning all!

Currently snowing heavy wet snow at my house and freezing rain here at work. I was late today as we got about 10cm of white overnight, and I didn't judge that when I first got up and ended up having to snow blow when I'd normally be leaving for work. Traffic was also a crawl, with the highway doing anywhere from dead stopped to 40kph in both lanes. Temps are currently 1, headed to 4. Weather will continue to be an icky mess throughout the day.

Some of you may have seen a quick note from Brian. He told me to tell you all he's doing OK, and will be headed South once he gets through everything he needs to do. Hang in there buddy!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Morning Martin, and everyone.
Same snow frenzy reports here, changing almost hourly... "these areas", then "all the way to...", then "mostly in the northern quarter of the state", yada, yada.
No doubt some WILL be impacted.
Us? Only time will tell, but I still wish they would move the event back to next Monday.
40s now, going into the 50s later.
Rain all day, looks like Kaiser stays home today.
Let's get this day started, and tomorrow we'll get this week ended.
My best to all.

G'mornin' from SoMD! Been a few days, but don't worry, I've been taking my daily caffeine to keep everyone around me safe. And today's no different, thanks Martin! We're sitting at a relatively toasty 38F/3.5C here compared to the last several days and gonna shoot up to 51F for a high! Then, as everyone else has been trumpeting, we're expected to plummet back down into the teens and 20s as we are in the direct path of the oncoming storm with heavy snow and now some icy/wintry mix on top of that as some warmer air slides up and over the colder air expected to be over us (I forget what the terminology is).

Been busy with work (the bills never stop) and getting ready for our show, gathering and designing/printing props, set pieces, coordinating volunteering bodies. I'm glad I stuck with a simpler show for my first try at the director's chair. Doesn't help that my Little Mule (blue Dakota truck) has a dead battery and Wally-world is out of my size, pretty much cleaned out actually...storm related? So, had to get a close-enough substitute. Hopefully, they'll give a refund as it's only about a year old...maybe. Anyhoo, we have a dry-run performance this Saturday so it's a mad final dash to get as much done as possible AND get out before the snow starts.

And I've dragged the snowblowers in to light them off. My own still wants to run best on choke and I can't find, nor have any more time, to see where the issue is. It runs, and that's good enough for now. Need to get pics and throw the other two up on the Interweb to sell...strike while the iron is hot. So, time for me to git a'going. Take care y'all!

It’s drizzling right now, just barely above freezing, and we’re looking at some serious ice this weekend.

No riding.
But, since the temperature isn’t too cold, just right at freezing, I can tinker with the bike in the garage. I could even use two space heaters in the garage if I needed to.

But for now, I’m about to pour myself a cup of coffee and just watch the gloomy weather through a window.

Good Morning, thanks Martin. Freezing Outside,-1 C and Cloudy, no Fog. Airport gate Wheels were frozen to the Gravel , needed a jolt to open it. Breakfast was Strawberry jam on toast, and OJ. Going back to bed as bladder has been getting me up every hour, Doc is going to send me to a Urologist. Y'all have a good day G
